I don't even know where to start to tell you all of the good things Savedog does! Savedog transports dogs to our rescue every two weeks from shelters/rescues in the south that are overflowing with dogs! They send us a tentative schedule ahead of time with a soft time line of when to expect their arrival at each stop. The day of transport we get updates at every stop of the expected ETA. The drivers, Joe and Tyler, always show up with big smiles and are friendly and helpful to fosters getting dogs off the van. We wouldn't be able to save as many dogs (and sometimes cats) as we do if it wasn't for this wonderful team! If you are looking for a way to get your dogs north, check them out! You won't be disappointed!

Best support system for adopters and volunteers. It takes a village to rescue dogs, and OPH knows it! I have been fostering with them since November of 2016. The foster support system is wonderful. So many people willing to jump in and help others if they are having problems with their foster dogs. With the help of their in place system and encouragement, I have fostered 74 dogs. I love fostering because it gives these dogs a chance that they might not otherwise have. Plus it gives me my puppy fix. Seeing the joy on the adopters faces is an experience I cannot put into words.

I had the amazing opportunity to foster Vegas while he was with Operation Paws for Homes. He was slated to be adopted but that fell through. Chris (founder of Semper K9) came out to my house to evaluate him for a chance to be a service dog. While Vegas won't graduate for some time, he is destined for greatness. Coming from a family with a lot of military background, I am proud to say I got to be a small part of Semper K9's mission.

Semper K9 is doing great things for dogs and Veterans! They know that just because a dog ends up in a shelter or rescue, it doesn't mean that the dog is broken or has no value. Thank you Semper K9 for giving these dogs a chance to service some of the greatest people out there, our Veterans!
