I was inspired to join Soldiers' Angels when work kept my partner and I apart for three months. I realized that the loneliness I was feeling would be much worse if I was away from the comfort of my home. Regardless of personal feelings about the war, these women are deployed and need our support. I have really enjoyed my interactions with the women overseas. I have sent various packages and cards and received great, positive feedback. The program is well organized with monthly updates and helpful tips/reminders. All in all this is a great way to volunteer without a hug time commitment, but still make a difference and brighten someone's day.
