Review for Leave No Paws Behind, Inc, West Covina, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I have admired Leave No Paws Behind and its mission for years. I am so grateful for their work to rescue senior and special needs dogs and cats. They are truly the animals "left behind" in the shelters. LNPB’s mission is devoted to saving shelter animals so they do not live their last days frightened and languishing on a cold shelter floor.

LNPB give animals the hope, love, medical care and dignity they deserve even if it is only for a few days, weeks or months of life as their lives matter. Many rescued seniors thought to have only a short remaining life, blossom and surprise everyone living several more years! This organization brings such joy and hope for the future where no animal will be left behind in a shelter because LNPB exists.

I have been fortunate to have been a short-term foster a dog for Snoopy the Amazing until a permanent long-term foster could be found. He was soooo much fun! He’s still thriving with his foster mom, Jenny and his step siblings.

Over the last year, I have supported fundraising for the capital campaign for the Leave No Paws Behind’s People, Helping People, Helping Paws Low-Cost Veterinary Clinic in West Covina, CA.

Watching Toby’s dream become reality–from inception of the clinic to the Grand Opening (during Covid19) and now watching the clinic perform its professional care of animals has been so exciting! I am grateful to work for the organization and to support such a great team. Toby Wisneski’s leadership and continuous work to save animals is so admirable. Ending suffering is the most compassionate act a human can do. This next chapter of the clinic program will help thousands of people and their animals in the future.

I love watching how the donors love the mission and the LNPB programs. Please make a contribution today to help Leave No Paws Behind, Inc. continue their life-saving work for animals and families!

Review for Los Angeles Rabbit Foundation, Culver City , CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I love Los Angeles Rabbit Foundation! I knew NOTHING about rabbits and found not one, but four rabbits over two years that needed rescue. I had no idea how to trap and care for them and they helped educate me. I learned how to foster the bunnies, get them neutered at reputable veterinarians where they helped with sterilization discounts and eventually get the rabbits adopted to great homes that came through their adoption portals. They are all volunteer. They are so in need always of fosters to help save more lives. They need support for spay/ either which is more costly for bunnies than dogs and cats. They hold excellent adoptions and grooming events on the weekends. They stand out from the crowd of any rescues as they work in the shelter daily cleaning and caring for the rabbits and educating the public about rabbit care. People don’t know that bunnies can live 15 years and also they have unique constitutions like horses. LARF teaches potential adopters about their healthcare, need for sterilization and safe home environments with no hutches or outdoors life and free roaming to be with family away from predatory animals, wires, etc. Thank you LARF for teaching me all this informayion to help future rabbits that may be in need and to help their guardians to better care for them in their homes. Here’s a few of those cuties LARF helped me with!

Review for Operation Blankets of Love (OBOL), Granada Hills, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

OBOL has been there for sooo many nonprofits, shelters and rescuers in times of crisis and on an ongoing basis helping comfort homeless pets. Their generosity is endless - they provide blankets, towels, food, toys, cages, carriers, leashes, collars, etc. that keep costs low for those caring for animals in need. Their education programs for children have helped spread compassion to the next generation. Shelters rely on them on an ongoing basis for animals who need fresh bedding and comfort during their stay - it makes them more adoptable too! Rescues who have little to no funds can call OBOL day or night (practically) with request for carriers during fires, major rescues, or when their supplies run low. The public loves giving to OBOL to take their gently used items and convert them to life-saving products for rescued pets. I can't speak highly enough of Eileen and Brad Smulson and their volunteer team who always have the animals first in their heart. It's truly a labor of love and they need more support for gas for all the thousands of miles they rack up driving needed goods to shelters, rescues, etc. all over the state of CA. They also need to disburse information at their drop-off sites, in schools and for the general public. I will always support the work of Operation Blankets of Love - won't you?
