Review for Vegfund, Glendale, CA, USA
VegFund is my favorite non-profit to donate to, which I do regularly. I love VegFund's dedication to the grassroots problem of how the behavior of people everywhere is driving cruelty to animals, climate change, biodiversity loss and social justice. VegFund is lean and agile and it's amazing how many causes in different parts of America, Australia and the world they are able to support while keeping their own expenses low. I wish their model could scale up 1,000 times, which is possible if more people contributed through them. Their education and communication programs also have the potential to save millions of lives through improved, healthier diets.
Review for Relief International, Washington, D.C., DC, USA
I've supported Relief International for over two decades and visited RI's work in Darfur, Kosovo refugee camps, Somalia, Syrian refugee camps, women's savings groups in Sri Lanka, civil society programs in Bangladesh, and the earthquake response in Haiti. RI is not a loud activist group, but an on-the-ground implementation organization, trusted by UN agencies like Unicef and UNHCR for decades. The ongoing grants from USAID, the EU, and the US Department of State speak to RI's professionalism and compliance with industry standards. I've been proud to donate to RI for a long time and will continue to do so.
Review for Partners for Development, Silver Spring, MD, USA
Partners for Development excels repeatedly in leading in combating hunger, poverty and malaria.
