Review for Last Chance for Animals, Los Angeles, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

LCA has their finger in the most abusive animal pots worldwide and aren't afraid to get down and dirty. Their campaigns win with the support of individuals who are willing to go undercover to expose the wicked underbelly of everything from puppy mills to rodeos to the dog meat trade. They also help out with the world wide struggle to stop species destruction through their support of the Virunga Rangers as well as supporting other sister organizations. I'm sorry an organization like this has to exist at all, but they do a darn fine good job at making a difference for animals and our planet.

Review for Kids Saving The Rainforest Inc, Palo Alto, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I have been supporting KSTR for several years now and love what they do with so little. The big rock star charities come with huge salaries and overhead and usually controversy. KSTR has a small staff and dedicated volunteers who have a true passion for helping animals and making do with what they have. Their goal is to rescue, release and educate. The Earth needs all the friends it can get and they are truly friends of the planet.

Review for Bonobo Conservation Initiative, Washington, DC, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I have been supporting this nonprofit for a couple of years now and love what they do! They work with the people living in the region to empower them to step up for the planet and its endangered animals. They are a smaller nonprofit so there isn't all that bureaucracy nonsense that the big NGOs contend with. Please help them help save Bonobos and the planet!

I don't remember how I found out about BCI but they quickly became my favorite charity. I believe the health of this planet relies on a healthy rain forest and by working with the communities to help save bonobos, they are creating partnerships that support the local population by giving them jobs to preserve not destroy the rain forest. The Congo has a terrible history of human rights violations and violence against humans and animals and we need to understand that it's not so easy to say don't kill them without making things better for the people population. If they have nothing to eat they will eat the great apes. Please read Empty Hands, Open Arms by Deni Bechard.

I volunteer with the San Diego branch leaf-letting at street fairs and such. Wonderful dedicated group of people and it's amazing the positive responses we get.

Review for Animal Aid Unlimited, Seattle, WA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I found out about this charity watching animal rescue videos on youtube. I can't say enough about this organization!!! They do so much with so little and the joy on their faces when they rescue an animal is infectious. I made a donation and received a personal email from the co-founder, Erika Abrams. I have no idea how she finds time to do that. I highly recommend them and if you subscribe to their youtube channel, Animal Aid Unlimited, you can watch the videos and WATCH the COMMERCIALS as they earn revenue from the advertiser. Please consider contributing to their cause.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I wouldn't change a thing.
