This Rescue is such a success because they care about all parrots and every Penny you donate is accounted for. They help successful rescues and have a army of people all over the US that steps in at a moments notice when parrots are in danger. You can rest assured your money is helping the parrots when you donate to this team!

This rescue started in 1999 and one of the most successful in the US and is inspected yearly by the state. I wandered into that rescue looking for a cockatoo a couple years ago and assumed all rescues were like this one.....and I was really wrong. This rescue is self sufficient and loves volunteers and all adopters sign a contract that if their life changes and they cannot keep the adopted bird, then it will go back to Iowa Parrot Rescue. I adopted my Kenny the Cockatoo from this rescue and have no regrets.

I met Dr Julie Burge online and amazed how she openly shares her knowledge with everyone. Her heart is in the right place and she is a pro in the rescue world and hers goes 24/7. I found Julie online because she does a vet tip of the day and I have shared her tips on many days. I rescued a couple older male umbrella cockatoos and got online starving for knowledge and found her information helped me on several occasions. People who live around her are lucky to fine such a fine Aviary vet because that is not so easy where I live.
