Review for Jayadevi Arts Inc, Oakland Park, FL, USA
Jayadevi Arts has boosted the indocaribbean culture here in the US by teaching not only different styles of dances that link us to our traditional roots in India but also encompasses the mystic of the Caribbean culture. Most artiste are of a Caribbean background. In keeping with cultures it passes down to the younger generation the traditions that our elders have lived so well ... both in religion, stories and dance. For example our recent HOLI festival .... even on a rainy day as we had ... the crowds attended.
I am a board member and also an artiste. I am 58 year old and it's good to see that Jayadevi is keeping traditions alive.

our guru (teacher) Denyse is doing a wonderful job ... however we need a bigger space for practice ... I guess this would come in time ...

Review for Jayadevi Arts Inc, Oakland Park, FL, USA
Thank You Jaya Devi for bringing such artistic and cultural extravaganza to us here in Florida. I enjoyed the show and to let you know that in portraying the years gone by it made my children understand some of the things I tell them how I used to live back home. Bringing dance into the play made it so much more entertaining and having groups from different islands bringing the talent of their respective countries was also quite enjoyable ... enjoyed the variety of artist preformed.
