My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Community United Effort (CUE), Wilmington, NC, USA
On Labor Day weekend almost 7 yrs ago our son went missing in Wilmington, NC. He was there visiting a college friend. His friend called Monica & by the time we got there, she was already working on finding him. Monica was with us from the beginning walking the streets, putting up posters & contacting the news & law enforcement to get the word out. And she kept us focused through it all. She worked tirelessly with us trying to find him. After almost 5 days someone who had seen the news spotted him in a swampy area under an on ramp to the freeway. He had fallen from the ramp almost 40 ft. & was badly injured but alive. I cannot say enough good things about Monica & her organization. These people work day & night to find missing people "who are someone's children". They are so dedicated to what they do. Without her we may not have found our son and he wouldn't have seen his oldest daughter graduate from high school last month. There aren't enough words to thank Monica for what she does. She never gives up.
