Review for GLAD DOGS FOUNDATION INC, Langhorne, PA, USA
Glad Dogs Foundation has been so supportive of our rescue, Operation Paws for Homes. Last year we saved 1,613 dogs (we're a foster based rescue with no physical shelter) and it was so wonderful for our fosters to have a plush toy for their rescue foster dog to enjoy. We hand the Glad Dogs wonderful plush toys out at our dog transport locations to our fosters OR include a toy in the foster supply bag (each foster gets one with their rescue). You should see the smiles on our foster's faces when they see a special toy for their foster dog. THANK YOU for bringing joy to our OPH rescue dogs! We are so grateful!
Review for Operation Paws for Homes, N.Chesterfield, VA, USA
My husband and I have been volunteers for OPH for more than 2 years now and we are very impressed with how OPH runs its rescue. I have volunteered/fostered for other local dog rescues and compared to what we were used to with the other rescues we find that this organization goes above and beyond in caring for the dogs that come into its care. As a foster when we pick up our dog from the transport meeting place we also receive vitamins, probiotics, heartworm preventative, deworming medication, organic coconut oil, a toy for the dog and sometimes treats. These items cost money and are implemented to offer each dog the best chance of staying healthy and strong. The community of volunteers that come together for OPH is also very impressive. I have never seen a more dedicated bunch of volunteers and fosters who really want to make a difference in saving dogs lives. Since inception this rescue has saved almost 4000 dogs lives in 4 years and that is amazing and this is a rescue movement that I am proud to be a part of...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
OPH recently hired a director to supervise volunteers and OPH fundraising events and I was a volunteer who attended events with this person. At these events she was almost an hour late leaving me to stand by myself (which made me uncomfortable and donors were left waiting for her arrival). She was also not a team player and did not follow through with event plans. Personally, I would have asked the rescue to ask this person leave a long time ago because she was not an asset to OPH.
