Review for Community United Effort (CUE), Wilmington, NC, USA

Rating: 1 stars

I was a volunteer, and, spent a great deal of money and time for 3 years...but it was a waste. Volunteers with this group can be treated very badly, I certainly was. I was accused more than once of doing something I never did, and after I was called a liar...I left....I cannot recommend that anyone get involved. The politics are ridiculous. Do yourself a not volunteer with this NOT give money to this group.

You had a habit of not completing assignments, taking off without notification and not telling the truth concerning areas that were to be searched by you. You were asked to leave with no return after several opportunities to complete task. All searchers are reimbursed for fuel and meals and lodging are always in place upon arrival for each search. Many complaints of your attitude were noted for a long period of time, however you did not like to talk about it and made no effort to correct it.Thank you

My dogs knocked a 'possum from the top of a 6 foot fence surrounding my yard. I did not see him until the next morning, when one of my dogs came to get me and showed the 'possum to me, laying in the garden. At first, I thought he was dead, however, he was not. I had no idea what to do. I kept the dogs from him, he did not move. I went online looking for help and found Mary who actually drove to my house and picked this little animal up. She kept me posted with photos of his progress. Little guy made a full recovery and Mary relocated him. I was amazed at her dedication and grateful to have someone to call to help this little animal.
