Review for A Place Called Home, Los Angeles, CA, USA
I just started volunteering at A Place Called Home and I feel so lucky to be a part of something so amazing.
I volunteer in their Art/Grahpics department and am always in awe of how great Miss Bernice is with her students and how well they respond. I'm also in awe of how smart these kids really are and how quickly they can pick up programs like photoshop. It makes me feel good that i can give APCH a little bit of assistance in volunteering that help these kids towards accomplishing great things in the future. Learning a new program is challenging and rewarding and I love that I'm helping them learn new skills and give them an extra edge in their growth to college.
EVERYONE that I have met so far are so loving, love what they do and truly love the kids, and you can tell the kids love them right back. It's nice to know that a place like this exists and that there are people helping to make a difference in lower income communities.
