Review for Tri Lakes Cares, Monument, CO, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I am a long time volunteer at Tri-Lakes Cares. I have seen the tremendous positive impact this has made for our clients. Our Market allows clients to shop for their food needs. Our other services help them live a healthier, lass stress filled life. This is a marvelous organization!!

I have volunteered at Tri Lakes Cares for 8+ years. I have seen the need grow, especially during the pandemic. When everything was closed down a year ago Tri Lakes Cares came up with a plan to serve those in need in a new way. 2X/week volunteers pack groceries from the pantry from a list submitted by the client. That list is filled as best as can be from the pantry inventory. The client has a specific time to pick up their groceries (all masked) with very minimal person to person contact (which all we volunteers miss). The clients are treated with great dignity. Tri Lakes Cares has filled an enormous void!!!

I have volunteered at Tri-Lakes Cares for over 5 years. I have seen first hand how this organization has changed the lives of our clients. I volunteer in an area where I directly have contact with our clients. They tell me how our help has changed their lives for the better. They tell me they are treated with respect-never judged or looked down upon. I have seen clients that have risen above their circumstances due to the help they have received. This is an organization that is made up of amazing employees & volunteers.

Tri-Lakes Cares is an amazing organization!! The range of services offered is mind boggling. Clients served range in age from babies to senior citizens. The staff & volunteers have empathy, love & an amazing amount of energy. Services are varied. After the Black Forest fire services were offered to all the Black Forest families who lost so much. Clients receive assistance with food, medical services, rent, utilities & clothing available through Hangers - a thrift shop that supports Tri-Lakes Cares. Clients are treated with dignity, compassion & humanity!!!

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I have seen the wonderful work this organization does. It is not just a food pantry...it has case workers to help with needs other than food, there is medical help, commodities, senior citizen bags, a work force center, help for fire families & on & on & on. I could write an essay on the good I have seen this organization accomplish.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Double the size of the building. Staff space is so limited!!!
