Peaceful Acres Horses equine rescue sanctuary fills a unique and much needed purpose in NY (and the world). I wish that there weren’t so many animals in need of rescue, but the sad truth is that the need is huge. The director, staff, volunteers and donors of PAH are very hardworking, dedicated and incredibly compassionate people. If you are looking to get involved with a rewarding and valuable non-profit, PAH is a great choice!

Peaceful Acres Horses rescue sanctuary has been and remains a valued part of our community for people and equines. Formerly at risk and slaughter bound animals have been given a second chance at life through PAH and the CareGiver team. It isn’t easy work, but we so desperately need organizations like this. After following some of the tough journeys of sick, elderly or injured animals at PAH, I started making the comparison to dedicated and hardworking nurses caring for sick, wounded or fragile patients, some days all you can do is try your best not to scream or fall apart with tears coming down, because it isn’t fair. We wish we could remove neglect, abuse, illness and abandonment from the whole earth, but we can’t. The next best thing is helping those in our care. Peaceful Acres Horses team does a great job doing very difficult work and some days are sad, but they show it is worth it! So many days are happy. My family loves to visit the animals, our teenage daughter loves it there, no phone, no screen, just enjoying being near the animals and we all smiled so big! Hugging horses, donkeys and the goat Barney lifted our spirits. Thank you for letting us find peace at your sanctuary. -Stacy

Forever Feisty Chinchilla Rescure met every one of my expectations. I work at Peaceful Acres Horses, a horse rescue and sanctuary for horses and people, so my expectations were not easily met. Prey animals like horses and chinchillas are highly neglected and cruely used for selfish purposes by humans. I love to provide care for those that cannot help themselves. I googled chinchilla rescue and Forever Feisty instantly caught my attention. The website is full of health facts, real information, and a clear message that the chins are not being sold just to get rid of them. The chins rescued by Forver Feisty are truly given every chance to have a great life and a loving forever home, even those that may have been neglected in the past. That is one purpose of a rescue-to give second, third or how ever many chances it takes for the rescued animal to have the life it deserves. Andrea, the founder of Forever Feisty, knows all you can know about the proper care for chinchillas. I trust her and her opinions. The chins that are part of this rescue are taken care of, loved and only adopted out to those who can care for them just as well, if not better. As of Sunday Dec. 2, I am the happy new mama of Hudson and Charlie-two six year old male chins. Thank you Forever Feisty Chinchilla Rescue!
