Review for Journeys End Ranch Animal Sanctuary, Kingman, AZ, USA
Journey's End Ranch (JERAS) is run by an amazing woman, Catherine Ritlaw. She is smart, resourceful, experienced, multi-talented, inquisitive to new approaches and ideas, caring, dedicated and she can pinch a penny until it squeaks in a very good way. Catherine is devoted to the older animals, to the abused, the abandoned, to the wild ones, the lost causes and she works tirelessly to care for those at JERAS while also spending a lot of time helping other rescues and animals at risk, in the pipeline, still in need. I have known her for a few years and I have seen her make miracles happen for the ones she's rescued as well as others where she has had a hand, a big hand in many cases, in getting them safe and helping them become healthy. This woman is truly an angel for animals, a driven spirit put here to do good for the innocent souls who desperately need help and love. When you contribute to JERAS you should know that every penny will go for the animals and in the smartest way possible so as to maximize the impact. JERAS is home to several wild horses and burros which have been abused, injured, abandoned by the humans. Several senior dogs also live at JERAS, dogs which were on euthanasia lists, set to die within days or hours but who saved by Catherine's hard work to get them saved and transported to sanctuary. A few "oddfellows" live with these redeemed and now loved souls, also rescues, a potbellied pig and a ram. With Catherine's prior career as a vet tech, she is well qualified to care for all of the animals with great expertise and smart application of all the latest available information as she strives to keep learning. I am also extremely impressed with Catherine's great and successful work in fund raising, winning grants, putting together a great board of directors, her great outreach via social media and though her regularly published interesting and engaging newsletters. I hope you will seriously consider donating to JERAS so the good works there can go on and be expanded. You will not be sorry - just check out JERAS and you will see for yourself!
