Review for New Life Boxer Rescue, Kenilworth, NJ, USA

Rating: 5 stars

We lost our Boxer last Christmas. After a few months we knew it was time to open our home to another rescue in need of a lifetime full of love. That’s when we found New Life Boxer Rescue and they found Rolls, a three year old boxer found running the streets in Louisiana. They rescued Rolls from the shelter and arranged for his transport to New Jersey; keeping us updated on every step of the entire process. Our foster and adoption was a smooth process…from receiving all of the documentation for Rolls to receiving Rolls!

We can’t say enough good things about New Life Boxer Rescue, they have just been so wonderful throughout the whole process of rescuing Rolls and helping get him to us. They maintained an open line of communication with any issues that came up during the fostering and adoption process; which really meant a lot. That communication is remains.

The level of compassion and caring that New Life Boxer Rescue has for the animals that they rescue also extends to the people that find their forever companions through this rescue. Their love of animals and the need to help animals in need is their passion and mission. I am so grateful to New Life Boxer Rescue for helping Rolls and our family find each other. Thank you New Life Boxer Rescue for all of your help and for all you do! ❤️

Review for Helping Hearts Equine Rescue, Perrineville, NJ, USA

Rating: 5 stars   Featured Review

Helping Hearts equine rescue has been a part of my life for many many years. Lisa Post gives 150% (and that’s putting it mildly) to each animal in her care. She has given these animals a wonderful second chance to live their lives and be respected, loved, and content. It doesn’t matter how old or young, if horses, mules, donkeys, minis, (this also includes goats, pigs, wounded birds, chickens, turkeys) are in desperate need of a home and a place to heal they find it here at HHER. And, for those that are not able to be adopted out for certain reasons; Lisa welcomes them to her beautiful and peaceful farm as their permanent and forever home.

I have seen so much love, concern, and amazing volunteer teamwork in caring for the horses, mules, minis, and donkeys that call HHER home. Everyone here is always ready to do whatever it takes to help any animal in need. All animals receive the best veterinary care and diets based on their dietary and medical needs.

Not only has Lisa made HHER into a safe haven for these precious animals, she is always ready to help others whether it be by giving advice or hands on assistance…it’s all for the animals and about making their lives better.

We all work together and as a volunteer, I am so grateful to Lisa to allow me and the other volunteers to be a part of this rescue. It is very sad that the abuse and neglect of these magnificent creatures will continue to happen at the hands of people that possess no compassion or concern but who only see these animals as a commodity to be used and tossed aside when no longer needed. However, on a happy note there are people like Lisa and us as volunteers that give of ourselves to help those animals in need. Helping to give them the quality of life that they deserve. I am so proud of the work and labor of love that Lisa takes on because she cares that much. I highly recommend this rescue for the best possible care ever of a horse, mule, or donkey in need.

I have been volunteering with Helping Hearts Equine Rescue for many years. This is a place where not only horses come to heal but people do too. It is a place where you can forget what is going on in the world around you and find a place where the care and love that the horses receive here comes around full circle to everyone at the farm. The horses give back what is given to them. A perfect example of the human-animal bond.

Each horse, donkey, or mule that arrives here usually comes with a story but some arrive and we don’t know their story. What has broken their spirit, why they look so sad, what caused their medical issues...and the list of things goes on. The founder, Lisa Post, is so attentive to each and every rescue that arrives. Beginning with their settling-in and medical needs, to that special emphasis on those hugs and nuzzling needs!

When one of our rescues finds a new home, what a happy day that is. For those rescues that cannot be re-homed due to medical or other issues...well, Lisa makes sure they have a permanent home at the rescue.

My words have only touched on all the hard work, love, care, and other wonderful things that make Helping Hearts Equine Rescue what it is. Hats off to Lisa and all those that give of themselves to help these precious horses, donkeys, and mules to live out their lives with the dignity, care, and love they deserve on this most beautiful peaceful farm.

Attached are pictures of some of our rescues that have touched our hearts and lives.

Helping Hearts Equine Rescue has helped to give so many horses, mules, and donkeys that second or even third opportunity at life. A life that offers them a chance to find a new loving home through adoption or a forever home right there on the farm-depending on their circumstances.
Lisa Post, founder, does an amazing job providing vet care, safety, and love to these beloved animals. As a volunteer for many years, I’ve seen first hand just how much love and care this rescue has given and continues to give.
Helping Hearts Equine Rescue is amazing in every way...from the volunteers to all of the precious animals in need that find their way to this farm.

Helping Hearts is off the chart when it comes to a rating of just five stars. This rescue is totally committed to helping and saving horses. I have followed this rescue since it was founded and have witnessed first hand the compassion and dedication of everyone that is involved. The regular visits to Camelot auction to rescue the unfortunate horses that no one wanted to take home and knowing the sad thing was that these horses all had a home at one time and were given up. Owners that could no longer take care of their horses or just did not want them any longer for whatever reason... and Helping Hearts was there to give them another chance to find a home. Lisa Post, the founder, has done so many good things to improve the welfare of horses beginning with her vision to create an organization to rescue horses from the terrible fate of slaughter to the current status of Helping Hearts Equine Rescue as a non-profit. Then there are the many individuals and professionals that have devoted their time because they want to and because they believe in the wonderful things that are taking place here. The pregnant mare that was heading to slaughter, rescued because Helping Hearts was there, the horse that was dropped on the side of a NJ road rescued because Helping Hearts was alerted and immediately rose to the task of rescuing this horse. I could go on and on about the horses that are alive today because of Helping Hearts or those horses that crossed the "rainbow bridge" but were able to spend their last days in a green pasture and warm stall surrounded by loving and caring people. THIS is what Helping Hearts Equine Rescue is all about. Please take time to visit the webpage and read about our horses: http://hher.webs.com/
