When we lost our beloved boxer to a rare canxer in 2016 we knew our home would never be complete without another. We decided to look at rescues and the first one that popped up was New Life Boxer Rescue. We looked and fell in love. The process was wonderful. After filling out the aoptopn application we got our chance to be interviewed. We were approved and brought our newest addition home on Nov 6, 2016. . Our dog is the best Boxer. Her temperament is the best out of all the boxers we have had. She is truly amazing. Everyone there truly amazing. They remain in our lives until this day. The bond between boxer parents and a boxer rescue can never be undone. New life is truly the best. Not because they picked us but because they knew who the perfect fit was. The best thing I could have done was pull up New Life Boxer rescue and I'm glad I did.
I am a longtime employee/volunteer with a Rescue Organization in Louisiana, and I was contacted by Diane w/ New Life Boxer Rescue (NLBR) to help with pulling a Boxer from our local shelter. After researching NLBR we decided to partner with them and was glad we did. We have since pulled 4-5 Boxers from shelters here in Louisisna for New Life Boxer Rescue and worked closely with Ms, Diane getting the dogs healthy and placed for adoption. They have even helped us find wonderful adoption homes for 2 of our longtime rescued Boxer dogs. Ms. Diane continuously shares updates on the dogs that we worked together placing with wonderful adoptive families! NLBR is an excellent rescue with wonderful compassionate staff/volunteers. The staff at New Life Boxer Rescue are whole-heartedly dedicated to finding the best family for each rescued dog that has the privilege of being rescued by NLBR. I am so thankful to continue partnering w/Ms. Diane and so thankful for the wonderful friendship we had established. Their dedication and passion is amazing; they truly love these dogs and give much of themselves to ensure a happy fit for all. I highly recommend this organization!
Top notch rescue and wonderful staff/volunteers. At NLBR you get it all and more! My family and I were looking to rescue a second dog, after months of long searches, Cole was listed as needing a foster family. I had little knowledge of what fostering was but had always rescued prior pets. Diane and Desiree were there every single step of the way to explain everything to me and I am so glad I agreed to as we ended up falling in love with our Cole boy and became what is known to many others in rescue as a "Foster Failure Family" and proud of it! Any time throughout the foster/adoption process and presently, these wonderful ladies answer my calls, texts, and any concerns no matter the time of day. If I could, I would foster/rescue a million more from NLBR. They are extremely knowledgeable about the breeds, training, and so much more. They are like a family and when you rescue any animal that is the feeling you want to get from the organization. I would highly recommend New Life Boxer Rescue to anyone as they are simply top-notch, extremely organized, and really care about where they place their rescues and fosters. We are happy to be part of the NLBR family and with out a doubt have a relationship for life with them! Thank you again NLBR for all you do and helping our family help Cole find a forever home, and for all you do for the other rescue pups that come through your organization, they are lucky to have you all! ~The Minnig Family
I had the great fortune of finding an amazing young boxer through New Life Boxer Rescue (NLBR). Back in April 2021, I completed the application and was immediately impressed - the quality and depth of the questions asked showed that they were very diligent about properly matching dogs w prospective owners. They were responsive in answering of all my questions, and (before too long) located a young male who was being fostered in my area. The introduction and decision-making process were handled with care, and thankfully, we all determined that I could offer this dog what he needed. Communication with NLBR was efficient and pleasant. The volunteers who make the magic happen are well-informed and supportive, and truly passionate about boxers who need to find their best home. My beautiful boy Tommy and I are very grateful to NLBR and happily give them the highest rating!

The staff at New Life Boxer rescue are dedicated to helping you find the right dog for you and your family. The work countless hours, with the one goal of giving these four legged dogs a second chance at life. We reached out to them in 2020 looking to foster a dog, they worked with us to find the right dog to foster. We quickly began foster fail parents to Penny- a girl mixed boxer les than a year old. She quickly bonded with our male boxer and couldn't even think of giving her away because of their bond. They keep you updated the whole way and even after you have your fur baby they stay in touch. They sent out updates, newsletters and pictures.
Hi Everyone Lexi is 4 yrs 3 months. She has come a long way but she sill can jump if something scares her. She is my shadow, if I’m cooking she is right behind me and I trip constantly. I wouldn’t have it any other way. My girl is just over 4 yrs and she is getting grey in the muzzle. She loves her brother Smokey. Her brother was in trouble with dad and Lexi got between dad & Smokey to make sure he was ok. It seems like we have had her forever. Diane was such a big help and checks in to see how we’re doing. That is what I love about this rescue you are family and there to help or just catch up on and old friend.

I got Lexi April 2018 she was 8 months old and scared to death of everything. I spoke with Diane for about 2 weeks. I had an American Bulldog and we had lost his girl about 1 yr & 4 months. He started acting lonely and wanted a friend so I wanted another boxer. Diane was telling me how to set up the place for Lexi being so afraid of everything and Brody getting a new sister. It worked out wonderful. Brody passed away last sept and we got another rescue thinking it was a Amer. Bull. But he’s a putty and they are great together. Diane and the girls at NLBR is the best place to get a boxer. You become part of a family here. I would definitely get another boxer here.
We decided to become a two-dog household in September 2020, after over ten years spoiling our Boxer, Daisy. We had submitted a few applications and heard nothing back when we stumbled upon New Life Boxer Rescue and submitted an application for a younger male. We were delighted to receive a response almost immediately. NLBR fielded tons of questions from us and asked plenty of their own - Desiree and Diane were quick, professional, and their care for the dogs was apparent throughout. They let us know that the dog we initially applied for would do best as the only dog in a household so not a fit for us, but immediately suggested another young male they had coming in from Texas.
He'd been found on the streets with another dog (possibly his mother) who had sustained injuries in a recent attack, likely protecting the young male. Neither were Boxers but NLBR stepped up to save them, placing them with an incredible foster in Texas to decompress and assess. Desiree sent us photos of a little red boy with a worried face and we instantly fell in love. It was determined that the two dogs would do better apart and about a month later, we met our little Rupert at Diane's home. He was understandably a little nervous but absolutely overflowing with love. We brought him home to meet his big sister Daisy, and our hearts have been full ever since.
We are so grateful to Diane, Desiree, Mary, and everyone at NLBR for loving these dogs as much as we do and for putting in the incredibly difficult work to rescue them and find their forever homes. Rupert now spends his days sunbathing, snacking, and snuggling with us and his Boxer sister and we're happy knowing that every dog cared for by NLBR has a similarly happy ending.
Never had a better experience than this! Diane and all the volunteers were just amazing. They helped us find our perfect family member and made our family whole again. They kept us informed from the second Loki left, till the moment she arrived at our meeting place. Totally transparent of any issues and even how she reacted during transport. The best part is Diane has treated us like family. Even after the adoption, she stays in touch. We are truly blessed to have an organization like this that truly cares! Maximus is a happy boy now that Loki is in our lives!
We were looking for another boxer to add to our family.Another rescue wouldn’t work with us. New Life Boxer Rescue was willing and eager to work with our family. They are an “OUTSTANDING” organization to deal with!! Would recommend to anyone looking for a boxer.Tiger has been a great addition to our family. Can’t say Thank You enough to NLBR!!
New Life Boxer Rescue really works to match their dogs with the perfect homes. They work tirelessly to provide resources to the foster families which in turn are able to provide incredible care to these dogs. The collaboration allows for a great experience for the dogs, fosters, and adopters. Countless dogs and families have been united due to the hard work and dedication of this group.
This is an exceptional rescue group and is legit! They take wonderful care of the dogs and throughly evaluate each home to match them with the best dog for their lifestyle. This rescue group is run by amazing volunteers who really care about boxers. Please donate and support this group. ❤️
NEW LIFE BOXER RESCUE is a fantastic organization with caring, loving volunteers that do a terrific job getting the fur babies to good homes....We have TWO babies from NLBR...Our old girl LOLA is now 10years old...NLBR rescued her from a breeder...she didn't know how to be a doggie at first...But Desiree and George, two fantastic folks with NLBR, helped her become a wonderful puppy...Sher has been with us for five years now and is the gentlest lady you would want to me...thanks to the work of NLBR...Our second baby from NLBR is ROCKY...quite the character...he was presented to us by Diane and Desiree....and has become the perfect little brother to his sisters LUCY(another rescue) AND LOLA....NLBR has saved so many fur babies and helped so many find great fantastic forever homes, that there would be too many to mention. I read the reviews on their site and see the love they have provided for so many doggies and their new families....I will be forever thankful, that we found this organization...and such great compassionate people like Diane, Desiree and George....Pictured is LOLA, ROCKY AND LUCY AND ROCKY
We lost our Boxer last Christmas. After a few months we knew it was time to open our home to another rescue in need of a lifetime full of love. That’s when we found New Life Boxer Rescue and they found Rolls, a three year old boxer found running the streets in Louisiana. They rescued Rolls from the shelter and arranged for his transport to New Jersey; keeping us updated on every step of the entire process. Our foster and adoption was a smooth process…from receiving all of the documentation for Rolls to receiving Rolls!
We can’t say enough good things about New Life Boxer Rescue, they have just been so wonderful throughout the whole process of rescuing Rolls and helping get him to us. They maintained an open line of communication with any issues that came up during the fostering and adoption process; which really meant a lot. That communication is remains.
The level of compassion and caring that New Life Boxer Rescue has for the animals that they rescue also extends to the people that find their forever companions through this rescue. Their love of animals and the need to help animals in need is their passion and mission. I am so grateful to New Life Boxer Rescue for helping Rolls and our family find each other. Thank you New Life Boxer Rescue for all of your help and for all you do! ❤️
NLBR has been a wonderful nonprofit to volunteer with! I've had the pleasure of helping find new pups safe and healthy homes. I love receiving adoption updates and seeing how happy the dog is doing in their new homes. It's so rewarding and gives back to so many people and their furry friends!
We began as volunteers to foster dogs but after a few months we had a young boxer come in from Kentucky and we feel in love. We have recently adopted him and plan on continuing to foster once we have him trained properly and a fence installed.
We have learned so much fostering dogs and are very grateful that we did this prior to adopting. It helped us understand the various personalities of dogs, the different ways that they may signal and communicate their needs and the needs of our family.
I have never met a more dedicated team of volunteers than the individuals I worked with at New Life Boxer Rescue. They truly want what's best for both the pups and the potential owners. They do their very best to match up their rescue dogs with the right owners. All the other rescue organizations I contacted either took forever to get back to me or didn't even bother to follow up with me at all. However, the volunteers at New Life Boxer Rescue followed up with me immediately and spent a great deal of time asking quite a few questions so they could provide us with a dog that would match our life style. My husband and I can't imagine life without our beloved Maggie and we have New Life Boxer Rescue to thank.
I have been with New Life Boxer Rescue for 10 years in all different capacities. As a volunteer, a supporter, an adopter, an advocate, being apart of this rescue provides so many avenues of opportunity. I have fostered, transported, hosted BRAD's (Boxer Rescue Awareness Days), collected donations, no matter what my personal situation there was always an opportunity for me to help these dogs. NLBR values it's volunteers and because of this no matter how much time you can give, it will always be appreciated and needed. And without the help of volunteers and others who care just as much for these wonderful animals, nothing would get accomplished. Instead every day we made a difference, as much of a difference as we can. We always keep trying for every single dog that we can help. October 2018 I met the cutest, sweetest Boxer girl. I was at a Celebration of Pets event and I was NOT looking to adopt AT ALL. My boy was almost 11 and had just been diagnosed with cancer. I was very involved bringing him for his treatments and taking care of him. I met a dog that another volunteer was fostering and really didn't think much of it. My daughter was with me that day also volunteering and decided that this little girl was to be ours. My girls were in their senior year of high school and preparing to go off to college, I was wrapped up in Corona's cancer treatments and did not want another dog. I didn't! Then we brought her home. Since the moment she came into my house, I can not think of how empty my world would be with out her. Cleo was only with us a week, when I lost my sweet boy. I mourned him, and while I did not want another dog, Cleo was the exact dog I need at the exact moment I needed her. I have only had her a little over a year and I couldn't love this dog more if I had her from an 8 week old pup. She was already 3 when I adopted her and all the myths and concerns and worries that normally come with adopting an older dog were 100% not an issue. She actually is better behaved than any of my boys were! She is a true gem and I thank New Life Boxer Rescue every single day for allowing me to adopt her. This picture was taken just last week on Easter, I like to think she's smiling because she's just as happy to be here as we are to have her.
This organization is very professional and works very hard to keep top notch standards for caring for their fosters and working towards the best adoptive families to ensure they get the happiest life! This organization has been around for many years and I have always respected the manner in which they operate.
Thank you New Life Boxer Rescue for being there for our four-legged friends.

When our Boxer Daisy died, I went looking for rescues & New Life Boxer Rescue popped up. I figured that I'd give them a call. I had an interview with Diane and she was so personable and knowledgeable that we decided that we would move forward with our decision to adopt. On the day of the adoption,( 4 years ago), we all fell in love with our girl and we are still in contact with Diane today!
I would most certainly adopt from New Life Boxer Rescue again! They are a small rescue group which is great, because they do get back to you rather promptly! Way to go, NLBR!
When I lost my beloved Golden Retriever in February 2015, I knew his fur Boxer brother needed a brother or sister, and I knew my husband and I didn't have the time in our schedules for a puppy from a breeder so we curiously looked into rescue and found New Life Boxer Rescue and saw Dixie on their site and I just knew this was my girl. I filled out an application and heard back within a few days. A home check was scheduled but there ended up being an issue with the volunteer who was going to do it. I was anxious and NLBR found another volunteer to do it right away. Theresa took the time to come to our house right after work instead of going home first and met our Boxer boy and my husband and I and did our home check. She called us afterward and told us we had been approved and that she was Dixie's foster mom! I cried with joy. Less than a month after my heart was broken with the loss of my Golden, it was mended on the day we adopted Dixie. She has been the best girl I could ask for and I love her more than life itself.
New Life Boxer Rescue may be a smaller rescue, but the "family" as well as their hearts are huge and you will never feel like your application, questions or inquiries are being ignored. I still keep in touch with Theresa to this day and she stops by to visit every so often. She was instrumental in helping us introduce Dixie to her new younger Boxer brother in June 2017 (adopted through a different rescue) after we lost her older Boxer brother in March 2017.
I have always wanted to foster and help by volunteering. My husband won't let me foster because he knows I would be a repeat foster failure! Over the years as I've gotten to know more of the NLBR family, they recently asked me if I would be interested in taking over as Treasurer because their current Treasurer was relocating and I accepted. I realized this is how I can volunteer and help (even though I'd rather foster LOL). And I was honored that they thought of me and asked me.
New Life Boxer Rescue has always been there for me and Dixie and I would highly recommend them to anyone interested in rescuing a Boxer. Your heart will thank you and they will not let you down.
Adopt, don't shop!
:)

New Life Boxer Rescue was a pleasure to work with! We adopted Astor (now Jethro) last May. The whole process was professional, efficient and friendly! We worked closely with Diane who was wonderful. We still keep in touch periodically. We absolutely love Jethro and he fit into our family perfectly from day one! I highly recommend this organization!
If you are looking to find a rescue organization that will help you give a dog in need a furever home, look no further. The staff at New Life Boxer rescue are dedicated to helping you. The work countless hours, with the one goal of giving these four legged angels a second chance. Their dedication and passion is amazing.
New Life Boxer Rescue has become a huge part of my family’s life.
We first connected with them in 2012 after we lost our beloved dog. I first spoke with Dee and Patricia who were so incredibly kind. It was easy to see how much care and passion they had for the rescue and the dogs they saved. We adopted our first dog from them, Isabella, at that time.
Over the years I’ve met additional volunteers from the rescue who have that same caring nature and passion to save dogs.
In two days we will be adopting our third dog from NLBR. The foster volunteer has been amazing with all of the detailed information she has given us. When we lost our second dog, Jersey, in December, I reached out to the wonderful volunteer that had previously fostered her. Most organizations would not have put the effort into finding her a home because she had a serious health condition. I can’t thank NLBR enough for going the extra mile and bringing her to us because she was a perfect fit for our family.
New Life Boxer Rescue is an amazing organization because of the amazing people that put their hearts and souls into it.
If you would like to find a truly trustworthy Boxer rescue group, this is the one for you. Their volunteers go above and beyond in making a difference in their animals lives. They all receive excellent vetinary care and the volunteers are dedicated in making sure they go to a loving and proper home for life. If you are looking to adopt, this is the group for you. It will make a difference in a dogs life forever.
After losing our first boxer girl we decided it was time for another. We filled out the application and went through the interview process. Six years ago we adopted our Nala at 2 1/2. It was destiny because her foster mom lived in the next town. Nala is 8 1/2 now and we are crazy for her. I still keep in touch with her foster mom I highly recommend New Life Boxer Rescue
I used to volunteer with New life boxer group about 7 years ago, but as time passed and our family grew I had less time to dedicate to helping out. This past November we lost our boy dexter (after 10 amazing years ). I reached back out to the group and it was like I never left, they have been amazing with helping us find a new match for our family. And, now that the children are growing it also gave me a chance to start helping out again. So it was truly a win win.
We adopted a beautiful boxer from NLBR. They helped guide us through the process and provided the support necessary to ensure our success. Highest respect for New Life’s team and commitment to their mission. Truly amazing folks!
Our family has always found our furry friends through rescue groups and adoption. New Life Boxer Rescue has gone above and beyond any experience we have had before. They provided wonderful care to our boxer pup Hazel until she joined our family. They helped us introduce her to our older boxer Bugsy and made sure it was a seamless transition. Over the years we have had questions and concerns that the volunteers at NLBR have responded to with compassion, expertise, and excellent advice. Their help has extended far beyond our finding Hazel. They truly love these dogs and give much of themselves to ensure a happy fit for all.
We are on our 3rd rescue from NLBR, these people (who are a special breed within themselves) are not just fosters or volunteers, they're like friends, they go above and beyond, they are great with pairing you with just the right dog, then keeping you constantly updated on status, etc, we we're blessed 3 times and truly appreciate all the hard work and care they put into this rescue, it's an honor to be a part of this great organization, they follow up often which shows the care they have for each and every animal that comes through their doors, Again, if you have the opportunity to adopt through this organization, you will not be disappointed! And if the dog is not the right fit, hey, it happens, they welcome them right back, and find them the right home!
I am a longtime shelter vol and rescue person in AR, and I was recently contacted by New Life Boxer Rescue (NLBR) to help with a Boxer we'd pulled from another facility. "Baxter" was horribly emaciated when he arrived in rescue, and another group contacted us for help -- someone with Boxer experience. We placed Baxter in a foster-to-adopt home, but that home ultimately decided they were not the right fit for his energy. Several people were interested in Baxter, but they also were not a match.
NLBR saw Baxter on social media and contacted us to offer assistance. They happened to have an open foster slot and were ready to help. After lots of "vetting" and conversations with this group, I knew that they would provide Baxter exactly what he needed -- in foster care, as well as with proper screening for his new forever home. They have great adoption policies and truly understand the needs of a Boxer, whether that's obedience/training needs, medical needs, or placement needs (like matching dogs of the opposite sex). We arranged a transfer using a screened long-distance transport service, and sent Baxter on his two-day journey to NJ. All along the way, NLBR's team kept in contact and ensured everything went smoothly.
Once Baxter arrived, the NLBR team continued to provide updates on how Baxter was settling in his foster home. His foster, Diane, also shared her love for this sweet boy -- something we had in common! (I'm also a longtime Boxer and Boxer rescue person, and I *adored* this goofball!)
Within a couple of weeks of Baxter's arrival in NJ, a previous NLBR adopter contacted them, looking for a male companion for their female Boxer. After re-screening of that home, NLBR set up a meet/greet between Baxter and his new family. It was a love match! Ever since, I've continued to get updates on sweet Baxter in his new home. He and his new "GF" are like an old married couple -- clearly two, much-loved peas in a pod! While sending a dog such a long distance gives one pause (paws!), this couldn't have worked out better. It was the right thing for Baxter, and I highly recommend NLBR.
See his before and happily-ever-after pics below!
New Life Boxer Rescue is a small but highly reputable rescue. They go above and beyond for the animals in their care. All their animals receive proper vet care and endless love from their volunteers :) This is a very trustworthy group and you can donate with confidence.
We are a small but mighty boxer rescue and most of our volunteers have been with us for many years I’m proud to say! We each have a “position” within the rescue and mine is to handle the owner surrender calls and emails. I love knowing that we are making a difference in these dog’s lives. We are a dedicated group committed to educating people and saving boxers in need. If you would like to help out a little or a lot, drop us an email or give us a call....we’ll give you the details
I am a foster home for NLBR and always have support from the other volunteers with any issues that may come up. We match our fosters with loving homes and are always available if the adopter has any questions. I am proud to be a part of this rescue!
I love working with the volunteers, adopters, and NLBR foster homes. I network with other rescues and shelters to get as many dogs to a safe environment while we look to match each dog to their perfect home. We do events to educate the community about what NLBR is all about as well as rescue in general ,facts about the Boxer breed, and the importance of spay/neuter. We may be small but we are a very passionate "family" that cares deeply about the rescue. I have never been involved with such a loving group of rescue friends who go above and beyond to help the homeless, abused and neglected no matter the expense.
