Review for Helping Hearts Equine Rescue, Perrineville, NJ, USA
I have happily supported Helping Hearts Equine Rescue since 2010. Lisa, her volunteers, and vet can always be counted on to provide the best care for horses in need. This rescue always provides photos and updates on their rescue horses
which is so important for those of us who can only keep in touch and donate via the internet! Donations are so important for the quality of care that Lisa and her dedicated crew provide for the health and wellbeing of HHER’s horses. When a horse arrives at HHER it is quarantined for the appropriate amount of time, usually 30 days, examined by the HHER vet, and evaluated as to its most pressing needs. Refeeding, worming, floating teeth, shots, whatever the new intake might need to begin a new life and hopefully thrive in order to be adopted, are all carefully considered by Lisa and her vet. Some horses may need to retire at HHER due mostly to advanced age. If so, rest assured the horse, pony, mini, or donkey will receive the ultimate care until it’s time to cross the Rainbow Bridge.
So in closing, if you want to donate to an equine rescue that always puts the horses in its care first, chose HHER!
Review for Arabian Rescue Mission Inc, Leitchfeild, KY, USA
Although I have never adopted a horse from ARM, I have been a supporter since 2010. As an Arabian lover and owner it is crucial to have ARM’s unfailing support in rescuing, rehabbing, and rehoming our Arabs who have been sent to Kill pens through no fault of their own. Seeing Arabians formerly slated for a grisly death in new loving homes makes all my donations worthwhile!
Review for Central Virginia Horse Rescue, Fredericksburg, VA, USA
Central Virginia Horse Rescue is my primary donation recipient for equines in jeopardy. Cindy Smith, the founder of this fine rescue, is kind and compassionate, yet is clearly cognizant of the limits of her rescue's ability. Cindy works with local Animal Control and assists with owner surrenders whenever possible. She has a heart of gold and years of experience which is bolstered with great veterinarian support! I cannot say enough good things about CVHR!
