Review for A Place Called Home, Los Angeles, CA, USA
My name is Karina. I started to work at APCH in July 18, 2012. I found the place through Herbalife's websites because my mom became a supervisor of the company. I was also looking for something that i could do because my family and I were going through hard times. In 2011, doctors told mom that she had pre-cancer cells and she also has cirrosis from the liver, so APCH was a second home to me during the summer. I felt needed by those adorable children. Unfortunelly, school started Aug 27, 2012 and i had to go back to Cal State Dominguez Hills where I am mejoring in Child Development. Children are my passion and what better way to show it than going to volunteer at APCH. I still go, not as often as i would like. Im also trying to get experience for a real job because i would really liked to help my dad with the bills because both of my parents came to this country as immagrants from El Salvador and since then they being working to give me the best, so i would like to return whatever i can to them. If i would have the chance i would love to work at APCH permitely.
