Review for Suicide Prevention And Crisis Service Inc, Buffalo, NY, USA
Phone volunteers at Crisis Services--. I want to know why they will not help me and why they will not respond to my letters after they told me to write them. They are funded by many agencies including the Erie County Social Service Mental Health Dept. who also will not responWhen I contacted Crisis Services, the phone volunteers, hang up on me, speak to me rudely, refuse to help me in any capacity including homelessness, suicide prevention, domestic violence. To continue, I am told repeatedly they will not help me in any capacity. When I have called regarding a couple people I knew that were suicidal, they refused to help in any way. I had to contact 911 for help. When I have tried to contact a supervisor, I have been told by the phone volunteers that they will not transfer the call and they would hang up. When I have written a letter with detail information on it,---dates, names of phone workers, and time of hang ups----written to director of Crisis Services and supervisors---never received a letter back. Two letters were written with no response. Then I am being told that I am harassing them when I am being told to write them. I am seeking counseling for DV and a letter back responding to my questions and to the incidences involving dates, times, and names of the phone volunteers who have repeatedly hung up on me. I would not donate to this agency due to their unprofessionalism, rudeness, and breech of confidentiality when they contact other agencies and blackball my name to them when I am still on the phone with Crisis Services other times.

Review for Catholic Charities of Buffalo, Buffalo, NY, USA
I have asked for assistance a few years ago and was turned away. I have called several times and my calls were not returned. I was told to come in person, which I did and talk to the director. The director who I did not meet till this day, told me to leave the facility or he will contact the police, He stated that he would not help me and I must leave. I came in person because I did an intake and no one called me back for over 3 months and I left repeated messages with my phone number. I was told by the secretary to come in person and talk to him. To this day I still do not know why they will not service me. I was given the excuse that they will not service me because I kept calling and came into the office as told to do one time. My question is why was I rejected and my calls avoided for 3 months in a crisis situation when i needed counseling for a crisis situation and they continued to avoid my calls for help? When I physically went to the office the director did not want to talk to me privately and told me to leave in the reception desk. This is rude, unprofessional and a breech of confidentiality. I never did get an answer to this day why they would not help me. The only thing I was told is because I came to the office one time without an appointment because the secretary told me to come in and talk to the director. It was a crisis situation DV and I could not get help or counseling.
