Review for Soldiers' Angels, San Antonio, TX, USA
I joined Soldiers Angels close to 6 years ago. My oldest son & I got involved as a way to help repay the troops overseas for all the work they had done for us as a country and also to learn more about the war. I've met some incredible people from volunteering with them, not only in my state, but nationwide! We've adopted 7 different soldiers and sent care packages to them while they were overseas. We've also sent countless letters & done articles for our local papers to raise awareness. It was a great feeling when a couple of the solders replied to my son's letter and thanked him for all the work he was doing by supporting them. He's in college now and his younger siblings are involved with helping me volunteer now. We've made it a family event that all my children have learned from. This organization does amazing things to help support our troops in so many different ways, if you ever want to volunteer to help our troops, Soldiers Angels has a way that will fit your interest!!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
It was amazing to me when I received a response from the first soldier I had adopted. I had been sending him care packages for about 9 months before he was scheduled to come home and we didn't hear that much from him, until the month we sent him a "fishing" theme care package, the whole box was about fishing. He replied and said it was the best thing he had ever gotten because his hobby at home was fishing, so it really brought "home" to him overseas.

Really push to have more local people in each state so that there was someone "new" angels could go to with questions.
