Soldiers' Angels has been such an important part of my life for the past two years. I volunteer to write condolence letters to gold star families and also weekly encouragement letters to deployed soldiers. I've adopted two soldiers to send packages to so far and the experience has been so gratifying. I have received letters back from some of the men and women I've written to and they are some of my most treasured possessions. As a military wife myself, I understand the need to feel like others are behind you and care about your loved one. It's easy to feel helpless when it comes to this war. This organization gives me a way to feel useful and supportive to our troops, even if I can't bring them all home! This is a wonderful organization and I recommend it to anyone who wants to show their care for the men and women of the armed forces and the families that are behind them.
