Review for Soldiers' Angels, San Antonio, TX, USA

Rating: 5 stars

My family started adopting troops for care packages several years ago. I thought it was important for my young girls to experience the joy of giving back to someone we will never meet, just because they deserve it. Our troops are very important to my family and for all that they do we felt that a package a month, more during the holidays, was a great way to show them our appreciation. We have actually kept in touch with our last troop and his family even after another deployment. Soldiers' Angels gave us great ideas of things to put in the boxes, both things wanted and needed for our troop. I cannot say enough about this organization and all that they do. I'm sure the troops that have been affected by this organization would agree with the importance of their mission.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Hearing from one of our adopted troops and knowing what it meant to him to receive the packages from us when he was on a deployment.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Get more people to volunteer their time for our troops, our heroes.

I can't think of anything.

Did your volunteer experience have an effect on you? (teaching you a new skill, or introducing new friends, etc.)

Brought us a new friend that we will never forget.

How did this volunteer experience make you feel?

Amazing. It is such a great feeling to give to someone that does so much for his country without being asked. We cannot do enough for our troops in my opinion, but this organization is a great start!
