Causes: Crime & Law, Hot Lines & Crisis Intervention, Mental Health, Sexual Abuse Prevention, Sexual Assault Services, Suicide Prevention
Mission: At the blue bench, our mission is to eliminate sexual assault and diminish the impact it has on individuals, their loved ones and our community through comprehensive issue advocacy, prevention and care.
Programs: Therapy: individual and group therapy for victims of sexual assault serving metro-denver's diverse population in three locations. The blue bench's therapy staff is comprosed of master level & licensed therapists and interns from graduate programs. The clinical staff provided therapy to 333 individuals in 2017.
canvass\community outreach: door-to-door contact to distribute hotline cards and information and request donations, reaching over 170,000 people in the metro-denver region in 2017. The pathway to prevention program talked with or presented to more than 13,300 youth and community members in 2017.
advocacy: 24-hour sexual assault hotline responded to 2324 calls from primary and secondary victims in english and spanish during 2017. 24-hour hospital response and on-going case management services were provided to 280 individuals in 2017.
