Nonprofit Overview
Causes: Arts & Culture, Children & Youth, Fund Raising & Fund Distribution, Performing Arts, Youth Development
Mission: Our mission is to provide free music instruction to children and youth in Cache Valley, UT as a means to help develop their learning abilities and strengthen their self-confidence so that they can succeed in their educational and professional endeavors. Risk factors such as social underrepresentation, family instability, and health challenges can frequently undermine people's likelihood to succeed. We believe that music has the power to transform lives, and we are dedicated to making a difference in the community.
Results: Our students become resourceful, resilient, and develop an enhanced outlook on life. Several of them have moved on to a university career and attribute their involvement at school to their participation in Young Musicians for a Brighter Future. Other students were already likely to go to college but strengthened their qualifications, leadership, and social involvement through their experience in our program. Others did not go to college but went on to full-time jobs and positions of responsibility. Our current scholarship students do very well in school and are engaged in extracurricular activities and sports. Their chances of a balanced livelihood and social engagement are quite promising.

Programs: 1) Free music group classes; 2) Scholarship-funded private instrument lessons to qualifying participants of the group classes; 3) Performance opportunities for our students to shine as they develop as leaders and team players.
