Causes: Arts & Culture, Performing Arts
Mission: The pac will create a cultural and performing arts center at the world trade center site that will contribute to the revitalization of lower manhattan and promote the performing arts by presenting theater, dance, music, and film from america and around the world.
Programs: During 2014, the pac focused on selecting a design architect to best design the pac building for the artistic program developed in 2013. The pac engaged dbi projects ("dbi") as the project management firm to develop and manage the process for selecting the design and executive architect firms. Dbi specializes in real estate development, construction consulting and project management. Dbi has extensive experience in high-tech, complex, unique construction projects in hospitality, institutional, cultural and residential arenas. See schedule o for continuationafter reviewing an exhaustive list of candidate firms from around the world, three firms were invited to participate in a ten week charrette process to work with the pac board and staff and develop a design concept for the pac building. The design architect and executive architect are planned to be announced in 2015.
