Causes: Children & Youth, Youth Development Programs
Mission: World class boxing is a save haven and a crime deterrent for any interested youth, many of whom come from single parent households or households that are living below the poverty level. World class boxing gym, inc. 's mission is to provide critical social services to address physical, emotional and intellectual developmental needs of children and families in the underserved and at-risk area of the south bronx. By pairing the discipline and hard work of boxing with a full agenda of social and family services we are able to get through the troubled kids and get them back on the right track.
Programs: Through our boxing training and tournaments many of our members who come to us in the midst of family turmoil and getting in fights in school and on the streets have since become disciplined individuals with great hopes and aspirations. Other of our boxers are now in college. Additionally many of our members have gotten the opportunity to participate in regional, local, and national tournaments.
