Mission: Offer pre-college arts, literature, and media learning experiences to houston-area high school students.
Programs: Wonderworks is a summer enrichment program that provides college-style courses in arts, literature, and media for 10-13th grade houston area students of special promise and ability, especially those who are economically and/or culturally disadvantaged, on the campuses of the university of houston and rice university and occasionally at other venues. Students gain knowledge and skills while beginning to develop portfolios of work that will be helpful in applying to college. Instructors have college-level teaching experience and advanced degrees in their subject area in most cases.
