Mission: The Women's Business Institute was founded in 1997 to provide assistance to women who have traditionally had fewer opportunities to obtain capital and other technical assistance to become economically independent through starting and growing successful small businesses. WBI's mission is: "to provide quality training, counseling and technical assistance to any woman who owns or desires to own a business, including economically and socially disadvantaged women, and women on welfare."
