Causes: Public & Societal Benefit
Mission: Withinreach makes the connections washington families need to be healthy.
Programs: Food & health: withinreach connects families to health and food resources and benefits through our hotlines, web-tools or through our in-person outreach activities. Withinreach's bi-lingual call center staff are experts in health care resources and provide families with friendly, compassionate service through our hotlines. Withinreach supports healthy families by providing direct access to developmental screening, early intervention and family support services. These resources support children's optimal health and development, and ultimately increase each child's success academically and socially. To complement our call center services, we offer comprehensive online resources for families to find the help they need and partner with americorps service members who conduct outreach and application assistance in the community.
immunization: withinreach works with public and private partners to facilitate statewide immunization activities and promote policies that improve immunization coverage for children, adolescents, and adults.
breastfeeding promotion: withinreach provides a statewide support system to educate and improve care for mothers so that they have the support they need to breastfeed their babies. As organizers of the breastfeeding coalition of washington (an alliance of 22 local breastfeeding coalitions), withinreach is the unifying voice of advocacy and public education in washington state for breastfeeding.
