Mission: Whyy is the philadelphia region's leading public media provider, serving southeast pennsylvania, southern new jersey and all of delaware. Whyy produces and distributes news and information, arts and culture and education programs on television, radio, the web and mobile devices. Whyy reaches and engages about 690,000 television viewers and 350,000 radio listeners a week and 120,000 unique monthly website visitors to whyy. Org and 458,000 to newsworks. Org. In addition, whyy reaches a national audience in excess of 5 million listeners a week primarily through distribution of "fresh air".
Programs: Television programming: whyy provides news and information, arts and culture and childrens programming on three 24/7 broadcast channels as well as online, via cable on-demand services and on mobile devices. Whyy-tv offers a varied blend of the best national programming along with whyys local content.
