Nonprofit Overview
Causes: Public & Societal Benefit
Mission: To improve the lives of those in need through support of local causes and organizations in the new orleans and gulf south communities, with a strong focus on children's charities and cancer initiatives. Through our efforts in the community, we hope to inspire others to join us in spreading a spirit of giving.
Programs: During 2016, wygwg had the following major accomplishments: gleason gras - this event raised needed funds for steve gleason, the leader of team gleason, and others battling als. Team comeback kids - this event collected school supplies for children who were affected by flooding in louisiana. Prom of champions - this program hosted a prom for over 150 childen battling cancer and/or blood disorders. Gameday heroes - this program brought families and children who were battling cancer together for once-in-a-lifetime experiences. The group had a private tour of the saints practice facility, were honored on field during a game, and participated in various other activities. Holiday gift giveaway - this program provided toys and gifts to children at local hospitals. The gifts were delivered by thomas morstead and many of his teammates from the new orleans saints.
