Programs: Senior services and transportation: over 500 different senior citizens were served through the center's various senior services. More than 35 senior citizens participate daily through the senior lunch program and activities such as arts and crafts, exercise, health screening, informative presentations at wesley center and through outings in the community. Case management services were provided to approximately 450 frail elderly persons which included 2,000 transporation trips. The center provided 5,300 trips to nutrition sites with average of 25 trips daily.
human assistance: center staff assessed the needs of approximately 7,000 families who were experiencing a personal crisis. The following services were provided: 5,000 families and 200 individuals received groceries from the food pantry, 1,000 families received clothing, and 400 families received holiday assistance.
children and youth programs: approximately 50 elementary students participated in the after-school program daily and 100 children attended the eight-week summer day camp program. Wesley center served 30 children and youth of incarcerated parents, and together with other agencies, the center provided tutoring and mentoring services to 40 youth and their families who reside in dayton metropolitan housing units.
