After one of our thermal imaging camera died during a nighttime search and rescue, I reached out to BHB about a potential grant to replace it. We are a cash-strapped volunteer department, like most across the country, and BHB was able to help us out. Nick was great to work with and even drove over 3 hours away to personally deliver the camera.
I first heard about BHB a few years ago when they hosted a training class being held at a local department near my fire company. Before the class started, I had the pleasure of meeting Nick and some of the Officers of the PA Chapter. From that point on, I was hooked. Being in the volunteer fire service for over 40-years, I know how hard it is to make a volunteer department successful, and the work that BHB does is fantastic! I love the training sessions, so much can be learned and the people you meet, that is the best part.
I was privileged to help up cycle an old firefighter uniform and make new items. We made, coasters, coin purses, potholders and messenger bags.
Nick and the gang at BhB do an awesome job of helping small town firefighters everywhere. Their commitment and dedication is unrivaled and the service they provide means so much to people trying to serve their communities on shore string budgets.
Amazing group here. Nick and his team work tirelessly to execute their mission. They show remarkable resolve and vision. Supporting guts like this i's an easy choice.
I just want to say thank you to This organization for awarding me a scholarship to be able to attend the Cancer and Mental Health Symposium coming up this week. Without you guys paying for my travel and lodging, I wouldn’t be able to go. This is a huge deal as I’m on a rural volunteer department that lacks heavily in the cancer prevention and mental health awareness subjects. Because of you, I’m going to be able to help my department catch up to the times and provide resources that have never been provided before as well as creating SOG/SOPs to help my guys get the help they need and to prevent further harm. From everyone at New Carlisle Fire Department, THANK YOU!
This group has made such an impact on helping firefighters via its fundraising efforts! Their mission is fueled by their generous and innovate idea of providing products that are attractive to own and helps funds their activities. Grassroots such as this one has been the foundation of why our country is strong. Keep up the great work!
Brothers helping brothers is an amazing non profit. Nick came up with this amazing idea when he saw a need to be able to help his fellow brothers and sisters across the USA. I have seen first hand this program help a few fire families when they was taken to soon and could afford proper goodbyes.I have seen Nick and his team work their tails off raising money at benefits. They have an amazing team and will do big things in the future.
Brothers helping Brothers is a great nonprofits who strive to help as many people as possible. Our fire department received 1200 ft of 5 in LDH from them earlier this year. This donation was a great help to us due to our small budget. I would recommend these guys to anyone.
This is a outstanding organization. These guys have the heart and passion of a lion. They are on a mission to help as many departments and firefighters as they possibly can. Nick is a true example of being a servent. Humble and caring and full of knowledge. Working hard to get as much help and training to as many people as possible at low cost to them. These are great folks to get to know.
Nick and the team at BHB do such amazing work, and on top of that, they do it on a shoestring budget. Nick does this without compensation for himself and the percentage that goes directly towards their equipment grants is insanely high. It’s something like less than 5% that goes towards operating cost. So if you want your money to make the most direct impact on a fire department in need, BHB is the one to donate to.
I have known about Brothers Helping Brothers for several years now here in Ohio and what they do for the fire service, public safety, education, training, awareness, and beyond. Their organization is an up and coming one that is making positive changes in our communities.
I have been to several trainings and workshops that they have conducted and found them to be very useful, and their organization effective.
Beyond education, training, and awareness, they provide small grants and financial assistance/sponsorship to many to make a difference!
