Thank you, Crayons to Classrooms, for the generosity you pour into students in our area. Students cannot be successful if they don't have the tools to participate in class. Crayons to Classrooms helps bridge that need. The facility is well organized and well stocked. I could easily navigate the store while finding valuable items for my students' needs. I greatly appreciate the mission of Crayons to Classrooms as they help both students and teachers.

Crayons to Classrooms is amazing! As classroom supplies and student supplies dwindle down at the end of the year, they are generally not replaced. I cannot express enough how wonderful it was to be gifted a shopping trip. I have supplies to get me through the rest of this year and some for next year as well. Everyone at Crayons to Classrooms is so kind, the store is organized and the floor plan is easy to follow. Thank you for this wonderful program!

To support children in need, Crayons to Classrooms distributes essential school supplies at no cost to teachers in the Greater Dayton Region, including Clark, Darke, Greene, Miami, Montgomery, Preble, and Warren counties. At their store, teachers can shop for all of the supplies they need, without having to spend their hard-earned money.

Having all the lead teachers and the administrator be able to shop is a huge help to our center. We were able to replenish a lot of our common consumables like markers, paper, ink pens and glue. We were also able to get a lot of materials to try new activities with our students! Crayons to classrooms is an AMAZING resource for our profession and community.

I love having the opportunity to come to Crayons to Classroom each year. I’ve been able to provide school supplies to kids in need, fun prizes and books for my reading challenges. It’s a nice break from using personal money! Thanks!

It is always a highlight of my school year when I can go to Crayons to Classrooms to get much-needed supplies for my students. Little things like pencils, markers, and pens allow my students to participate in class activities when they forget or lose their writing utensils.

I recently went to Crayon to Classroom and was able to get over $700 worth of school supplies for my art students.
Each year, I strive to bring my students the best possible art education and enriching art experiences. However, with the costs of basic school supplies and other necessary tools, it can be hard to accomplish this.

My crayons to classrooms experience was a wonderful! I was able to get a lot of necessary items for my my classroom in first grade students. I could not be more grateful!

I love getting things for the classroom that the students can decorate with, be create with and enjoy. I use the journals as sketchbooks for my kids who don't have any.

This place is amazing, and a wonderful asset for so many teachers. I am able to supplement the basic resources our school has with some unique and helpful items. My students especially love being able to choose something from the prize box as a reward for their extra effort and great behavior!

This was my first time to Crayons to Classrooms and I was overwhelmed by the generosity of the staff and feelings of gratitude that I felt during my shopping trip. Myself and a coworker shopped together and when we left, my car was full of free supplies for our school. It was such a wonderful feeling to know that our students and school were be well stocked for months to come! It’s been many many years since I have been to Crayons to Classrooms. Today was my first time back in a long time. I am so pleased at how friendly and engaging the volunteers are and the wonderful selection of items. My personal favorite are the packages of children’s clothes and nursing kits. These are typically items that I will pay out of pocket for to provide for my students. Crayons to classrooms is such an asset in the community and one that I hope stays for years to come!

Crayons to Classrooms is always such a blessing to my students! The extra supplies are such a huge help when students run out or are unable to afford them. Pencils, crayons, markers, erasers, and notebooks are always highly needed! We very much appreciate all of the generous donations from the various individuals and organizations. Crayons to Classrooms has helped provide supplies for my students. As my students enter Junior High, the amount of supplies needed increases and get more expensive. The stress relieved when my students can have binders and folders to help them be successful is priceless! What a great opportunity to help each student be successful and even the playing field so that all students (regardless of economic status) can have what they need.

Crayons to Classrooms is a wonderful place to get the supplies my Kinders need! This is a great way to supplement my classroom and add extra enrichment and fun. My Kinders are always so excited after a shop, we take some time to go through the box and they are always excited. Thank you for all you do!

I am a second grade teacher for Dayton Public Schools. Crayons to Classrooms is an awesome place for Miami Valley teachers to receive free supplies for their classrooms! Crayons to classrooms provided me with supplies for my physical education program. They were kind and courteous and made the entire "shopping" process a breeze.

I have used Crayons to Classroom for years to get the supplies for my art room that are just not covered. They also have the things that teacher need that we can't as easily get like small cup (clean yogurt cups) Cleaning products for us (especially since covid) extra toiletries and clothes for accidents and changing bodies, and ideas for new lessons and sub plans.
Also since Covid Crayons to Classroom changed faster than most schools getting the new and different supplies we needed. Some examples besides cleaning supplies are; masks, headphones for our now online students, and tape and other floor markings to keep students 6 feet apart.
In short Crayons to Classroom have been around for years providing the things that teachers need that are just not readily available, short of a teacher buying them out of pocket.

Crayons to Classrooms has been such a big help to me and my classes. With a very small budget for ART I am so grateful for some of the things I get such as pencils, markers, gluesticks, teaching and learning resources and surprise items which are seasonal. There are also personal items like socks and sanitizing products as well. The organization is well run and makes for efficient shopping. Thank you to the wonderful donors and to the volunteers as well.

Shopping at Crayons to Classrooms was such an enjoyable experience! The materials that were offered were useful and much needed. It's wonderful to have an organization that serves such an underserved population. My students were so excited to receive the new materials and were so surprised that someone would donate such cool materials and not have to pay for them. I'm so very thankful for the organizations that donate to Crayons to Classrooms and help classroom teachers provide much needed materials to best serve their students. C2C makes a difference for thousands of students in our area. My family has a number of educators, so I understand how much a teacher pours into their classroom from a financial perspective. C2C allows teachers to shop at zero cost to them so that their kids have the proper opportunity to focus on learning. I really believe in this cause.

Wow! What a great experience. I was able to get some items for my classroom that I know my kids will enjoy. I especially liked the educational kits and workbooks for the kids. I teach special needs children and we work all the time on writing our letters, numbers and words and i found some workbooks that they can have and do in color. They will truly enjoy using these. My shopping trip and experience at Crayons to Classrooms was amazing! I had the opportunity the "purchase" a ton of much needed supplies for my classroom. The shopping experience was incredible. There were so many supplies to chose from and everything was extremely organized. The staff was very helpful and super friendly.

I teach at a behavioral school that services around 35 districts. I went shopping at my local crayons to classrooms store in Dayton, ohio and got over $900 worth if supplies for free!!! It means so much to teachers to not have to worry about spending as much of our own money on classroom supplies. Thank you so much to all of those who donate and volunteer.

This year was my first experience with Crayons to Classrooms, this was a very successful trip for my classroom. While visiting the ladies at the start of the trip were very helpful and supportive. I let them know that it was my first time to the store. They walked me through the whole process and let me know that if I needed anything at all to come back or to let one of them know. I really enjoyed how organized the entire store was and how everything flowed from the beginning to the end. While walking through the store, they had displays up and were very eye catching. Even the end of the trip was exciting because they had a game to play while I waited at the checkout for the donations!
Definitely a wonderful experience 10/10 would love to go back again.

Yesterday was my first shopping trip to crayons to classrooms. I was impressed with all the materials and supplies that were available for teachers. I am looking forward to using the office supplies and being able to offer my low income students school supplies at the end of the year when they usually run out of the supplies they need. It was a great experience and I look forward to shopping again next semester!

I had my first "shopping" experience as an educator! The volunteers were friendly and they had everything organized so well! It was a great experience for me to go and get items for my classroom without spending more out of my pocket! My students will be excited for our new supplies!

C2C helps out in so many ways! The organization helps keep my out-of-pocket teacher costs down but also helps my underprivileged students stay prepared for learning with various school supplies. This is one less worry at school for this teacher AND my students.

I have been visiting Crayons to Classrooms for many years now. I have received many school supplies for my low-income students including crayons, booksbags, colored pencils, markers, notebooks, and even special games and toys. Crayons to Classrooms is a great resource, especially for under-privelaged schools where parents do not bring school supplies and teachers have to buy things out of their own pockets. Crayons to Classrooms helps to level the playing field in these low-income schools.

Being a first time teacher in Dayton, I left most of my resources at my past school. Shopping at Crayons to Classrooms, I was able to find many of the manipulatives and resources like I left behind. Can't thank them enough for helping teachers be able to have the tools we need without spending money out of our own pockets.

After a difficult day of teaching, going to Crayons to Classrooms is always a rejuvenating experience. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I am consistently blown away by the organization's drive to give back to the community by serving those students who struggle to bring even the most basic supplies to school. This includes pencils, bookbags, glue, and on occasion, socks and underwear. All of these supplies go to students to ensure they are ready and able to learn. THANK YOU!!!

Every time I visit C2C, I leave with a cart full of supplies to use in my classroom , in addition to many items that I can share with co-workers and items for the clinic. C2C is a wonderful charity and THANK YOU to their MANY generous DONORS!!!

I work in low income charter schools as an Occupational Therapist. It is so beneficial to have the supplies that I need to support each of my students. I think it is so important for my students have the opportunity to learn new skills because they have the supplies to be successful.

I am so thankful for the supplies I received from Crayons to Classrooms! As I was leaving school to go shopping at Crayons to Classroom, I used my last Lysol wipe and made a mental note to buy more at Kroger. This was my first year participating in C2C and it was a great experience. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. I am overall appreciative of being able to get supplies and tools for my clients that will help them improve their mental stability and nurture their creativity.

Thank you so much! As a school counselor we have students who needs supplies and I was able to get backpacks last time and I was able to get those kids what they needed due to a trip to C2C. I have also gotten art supplies there that are very helpful when we have grieving students and art therapy is a great way for them to express their feelings.

It was my first experience for C2C, and it was great! The staff was so helpful and they had great materials that I could actually use in the classroom, and they also had some non-standard items that could be creatively used in a classroom. I really recommend this experience, especially the teachers that are new to the field with not much to work with in terms of materials for a classroom!

Crayons to Classrooms has greatly increased and improved my ability to not only teach my students but to meet their social and emotional needs! I teach second grade and my students greatly benefit from the items I am able to receive from Crayons to Classrooms! Some of the items I use in my classroom store where students earn points for completing work and appropriate behaviors, then spend those points to buy items. They love it and it helps my classroom management, as well! Some of the items, such as backpacks, pencils, crayons, etc., I am able to give to my students when they do not have the supplies they need.

I experienced my first ever “shop” last night for my students. Today at school my students immediately noticed our new supplies and were appreciative. From basics like pencils, crayons, and markers to wearables like hats and book bags, my students will be set! I am absolutely looking forward to my next trip! At this time of year, I am extra thankful for C2C! It saves me so much money, and it also offers me things that I wouldn't have bought otherwise. I regularly go through things like colored pencils, sharpie markers, bulletin board letters, and just miscellaneous craft supplies.

My students will benefit from Crayons to Classrooms. I started this year without many basic and needed supplies, from markers to paper and beyond. I have been trying to close some of the gaps by spending my own money, stressing my family's finances. It was amazing to shop for my classroom and not have to spend my own money. This year was my first experience with Crayons to Classrooms and I hope they can continue their work for many years to come.

This is a great non-profit that benefits students and teachers in the Dayton area. It is a blessing to be able to get supplies needed in the classroom.

C2C is a wonderful organization for teachers. Without it I wouldn't have been able to afford the supplies need in my classroom. In most lower income districts, teachers must purchase supplies necessary when parents can't or won't help out. Those purchases add up and reimbursement is a long drawn out hassle.

My friend from school kept wanting me to shop at Crayons to Classrooms, but I kept putting it off. When I finally did schedule a shopping visit I was overwhelmed and so very grateful for all of the many things I was able to get for my students at no charge to me or my school. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and the store is well-organized and clean. My students and I were beyond blessed to receive the items they gave us.

It was a such a great experience to go to a store that is completely dedicated to educators and getting supplies needed to our classroom for FREE! I will admit that I was hoping to find certain supplies here, however they were not available at the time I went, hence the missing star. Yet they had many other items I was not expecting to find and very happy to see. They really did cover almost every subject that a school can teach. Crayons to Classrooms makes an amazing difference for teachers, but most importantly, for our students. Simply being able to provide students with the basic resources they need to participate fully in class without having to pay out of my own pocket is excellent. I was also delighted to find other resources and materials that I can use as incentives for students to earn through good behavior and hard work in class, as well.

I was able to shop at crayons to classrooms to help get some supplies for my students and other decorations for my room. The stuff that we got was absolutely amazing I left with a cart full of just different items different decorations and it's been absolutely amazing I was able to decorate my room for fall we got some winter decorations we got pencils pens paper notebooks other resources for my classroom that I would not have been able to afford out of my own pocket. We are truly grateful for this resource and for crayons to classrooms thank you so much!

Crayons to Classrooms made it so easy to stock up on a variety of supplies for my classroom! From sanitizer to pencils to journals, they had it ALL and more! I was even able to obtain some craft items and decorations to make my bulletin boards more interesting! The staff was so helpful and kind!

I am an eighth grade ELA teacher in Springfield, Ohio. I am so excited to spoil my students with new supplies after my recent visit. My students go through so many supplies during the year like pencils, pens, paper, folders, Post-it notes, cleaning supplies, etc. Crayons to Classrooms will ensure that my students have access to all the supplies that they need to stay motivated and engaged. Previously, I had purchased many of these products myself for my classroom and am so excited that I can now spend that money on other resources for my students. Crayons to Classroom has been a blessing for our students. We have many immigrants that come to our school and the last thing they need is a list of school supply requirements besides trying to find a home, purchase clothes, food, etc. To be able to see the smiles on their face when they are presented with a backpack filled with school supplies is so gratifying. Crayons to Classrooms is an awesome experience, from the volunteers to the awesome supplies provided. I went on a visit on Monday and so much of the supplies is already being put to use. I couldn’t imagine what I would do without the help of Crayons to Classrooms!!

I have been teaching for 25 years and purchased my own resources. Crayons to Classrooms gave me the opportunity to replenish my classroom materials for my students. In addition to materials, Crayons to Classrooms had notepads, pencil sharpeners, key chains, money pouches, mechanical pencils, folders, journals, etc. for me to put in the treasure box. Students have a Viking Card where they can earn stamps and receive a prize out of the treasure box. I was able to get rewards too!!

Crayons to Classroom is a nonprofit that helps teachers support their students and maintain the students' dignity. As a result of the opportunity to shop at Crayons to Classroom, I can supply crayons, pencils and other supplies to anyone who needs them.

As a first year teacher, Crayons to Classroom provided me with literal cart-fulls of needed classroom supplies. Crayons to Classroom provided many different learning supplies for a variety of learners and subjects. As a special education teacher, I was able to bring supplies to my students that met their needs and encouraged learning. This nonprofit is full of outstanding school supplies and has the most helpful, nicest people. From my class and I, thank you!

Thank you so much for another round of generous gifts from Crayons to Classroom. Since I am a speech-language pathologist I do not receive direct parent donations in my room. However, I work with over 80 children every week. These materials make my classroom cleaner and more fun. Furthermore, they allow me to do interactive lessons involving art materials, etc. Additionally, I am able to share some materials like hats, gloves with students who are not provided their own. Their smiles make it all worth it.

I am amazed by the school supplies and items I can get from Crayons to Classroom! I am so thankful for all that you do for teachers and students. My students get everything they need in order to complete class work everyday— nothing out of my pocket!! Thanks so much :)

Great organization that helps educators keep learning fun and hands on!

This is my first year in the school system with related services (therapy) and with this as my first shopping trip to C2C I have to say it was very organized, straight forward and pleasant to find what I needed. I was able to find new and everyday supplies that I can use with my students to make it engaging, useful & purposeful. I am very thankful that I was able to get to do this year and am excited to use these items with my students.

I get the chance to pick up supplies for the students where I work once a year. Most of the supplies go into the school's supply closet for students and staff in need. I have used a few items as an incentive for students that are reluctant to test. I think that Crayons to Classrooms plays a huge part in being able to provide students in need with the supplies needed to assist in their education.

Crayons to Classroom has been an amazing resource for my classroom over the years. Many of my students come to class knowing that I will have resources for them if they forget something. I "shopped" at C2C for the first time this past Saturday. I was really impressed by how the store was organized and the friendliness of the staff. It was a great experience and I'm looking forward to going back in 2022.

C2C provides school necessities to my students. Working in a low income school district means the majority of students do not have the means to buys supplies. It becomes expensive supplying my classroom with necessities that I cannot always afford to buy. C2C helps eliminate some of the stress students and teachers face daily.

I had a great experience at Crayons to Classrooms. It was easy, organized and fun! I love going shopping for teacher and classroom supplies each year, but when I was able to do the same thing and come back to school with all the FREE LUTE it was so much more fun! Teachers spend a lot of money for their classrooms each and every year. This is so refreshing that people see a need. This is a great opportunity for all educators. Thank you!!

I moved to the Dayton area 3 years ago, and I was quickly made aware of Crayons to Classrooms. In my previous teaching experience of 18 years in a different community, I never had an opportunity to go and select much needed supplies for my classroom that I previously purchased out of my own pocket. It is wonderful how the community and organizations across the country support this group in making sure that students have the supplies that they need. Thank you for having this organization in place for teachers and for those that support this wonderful organization!

C2C is an incredibly helpful organization if you're working in education. There was simply no way to meet all of the supply and resources needs of my students, so I turned to C2C.

I first found out about C2C from a story that appeared on local news, then I spoke with a colleague who suggested I check it out. What a life-saver! I've been able to provide basic supplies to many of my students who might not otherwise have these things. This helps to level the playing field for those without the means to obtain their own materials and tools.

C2C carries all the basics, such as pencils, pens, crayons, scissors, paper, glue, and notebooks. In addition, there are seasonal items and decorations, books (for adults and children), and STEM supplies and books.

I'm grateful for C2C and its donors, and I plan to continue to avail myself of their generosity!

This summer I had a fun experience when I accompanied our church youth group to volunteer at Crayons to Classroom. We had so much fun talking and creating little math kits for teachers to use in their classrooms. And then today I got to be a shopper! WOW, what a great time! I am so excited to go to school and show my coworkers and students all the great items I got today. I am amazed at all the great items from Lysol wipes to calculators to a tape dispenser to notebooks, and on and on! What a great place that helps our community! I have taught over 24 years and have never been gifted so much product for my classroom! Thank you so much!

I was unsure what to expect when I was informed that a family friend had volunteered at Crayons to Classrooms and named me to receive the shopping session. In all my years of teaching, I had always assumed that there were other teachers who needed to benefit far more from this nonprofit. Going for my first shopping session, I was overwhelmed by the amount of supplies I was allotted for my classroom. What an amazing group to do this regularly for classrooms all over the Miami Valley! Crayons to Classrooms was able to provide an amazing opportunity for my classroom. All of my students received cloth masks, activity books, and personal school supplies. I surprised my class by putting all of their personal supplies from the store on their desk for them to see in the morning. The shocked look on their face and the happiness that filled our room is something my class talks about all the time.

I was also able to get extra book bags for students who had broken or very used bags. They beamed as they walked around the school with their new book bag.

Along with being a Crayons to Classroom teacher representative, I have also used Crayons to Classrooms for 5 years! Thanks to C2C I've been able to build a classroom library, to provide art supplies to my students and to save money on buying my own office supplies. C2C has adapted and made changes to supplies that teachers need, and during the pandemic I've been very happy to get classroom sanitation supplies. I had the opportunity to visit Crayons to Classrooms for the first time this fall. I was not prepared for just how many amazing supplies I would find for my classroom. The volunteers were also so kind, helpful and welcoming. As a second year teacher and first year science teacher, this opportunity was invaluable. My scholars are from an urban area in Ohio that was an urban hub at one time, the area that we are in is not so great and a lot of my students came to school the first day with no supplies. I have some supplies at the beginning of the school year but quickly run out in the first three weeks. Thanks to Crayons to Classrooms and their amazing donors I am able to shop twice a year for free and get my scholars the supplies they need to get the chance to learn they deserve.

Crayons to classroom is an excellent resource for Dayton area teachers. I am able to stock my classroom with supplies without dipping into my wallet. In addition, I am able to help students in my school have supplies that their families cannot afford. Also, I am able to help other teachers in my school have classroom supplies that they can use in their subject area or grade level. This was not my first experience at Crayons to Classrooms and I CERTAINLY hope it is not my last. I absolutely love "shopping" here. I was so excited to learn about Crayons to Classroom last year! They offered many exciting things for a teachers and students. My students needed a composition notebook, pencils and paper the most. I have volunteered the past few years and have a great time working with others doing many of the same chores I did in my own classroom. Besides enjoying being a volunteer I've had the opportunity to earn hours toward shopping trips for current classroom teachers. I teach in an urban school setting and a 100% student participation in the free and reduced lunch program. Crayons to Classrooms has been of tremendous assistance in helping me to provide for my students' basic school supplies from pencils to science resources for experiments. Because of Crayons to Classrooms, the stress of shortages in classroom supplies is eliminated. I encourage my students to be appreciative and use what they provide responsibly because it takes the generosity of great donors to keep us supported.

As a new teacher in a barely-funded charter school, I was overwhelmed by the financial needs for my classroom. How was I supposed to provide effective lessons without supplies? Luckily, a colleague at my school referred me to Crayons to Classrooms! Through their amazing program, I was able to shop twice, and I also volunteered with my family at their store in order to earn an additional shopping trip. Each shopping trip valued over $1,200 in supplies for my classroom. C2C truly made my first years of teaching so much easier though their donations. I've been shopping with them every year since 2012!

Fast forward three years later, the Memorial Day tornados devastated my community. Our district was contacted by Crayons to Classrooms who hosted a "Stuff the Bus" supply drive for our community AND donated 1,500 backpacks stuffed with supplies to every, single student in our district. They also gave each teacher impacted by the tornados an additional shopping trip before the year started to make sure the teachers were prepared for the year.

Crayons to Classrooms is truly about supplying students and teachers with the supplies they need to be successful in the classroom. They have truly been a lifesaver for students and teachers within my community and the greater Dayton area.

C2C has become a solid member in the educational community. Their support of students and teachers in need throughout the area is invaluable. C2C is constantly gathering data from the teachers and schools to better serve the clientele and their needs. The materials provided are needed and greatly appreciated. Hello!! I am a teacher in the Trotwood-Madison School District in the upper elementary at Westbrooke Village! Donations made have made it possible to provide for my students and not have them feel left out if they don't have the required materials needed for school. It helps them feel more included. Pencils magically grow feet and run away around here, and having extra supplies is such a big help without having to spend my own money. Donations are appreciated more than words can describe! Yesterday, I was able to obtain school supplies for students at Roosevelt Middle School in Springfield, Ohio. I appreciated their organization and ease of moving through the store. I was given a clipboard with a sheet that contained all of the available supplies. Since there is a limit, I had to mark what I took. After I was finished, I gave the paperwork back to the front desk and was able to leave with all kinds of wonderful supplies for students and teachers.

I have had the wonderful privilege to shop at C2C for the last 10 years. It has been an amazing opportunity to supply my students with materials to complete school work, home work and really great art projects! I have also been able to receive books that have aided in my professional development and books to add to our classroom library. My students have been able to receive new books and a variety of trinkets and incentives to keep them motivated. I have moved schools a few times and C2C has been there every year to help give my students the best materials to aid in their classroom success.

Crayons to Classrooms is amazing! I am blown away by the organization, its donors, and its volunteers.

I was able to shop for items for my classroom that are necessary and that will help to enrich learning for my students. I was excited to pick up many desk supplies for myself that are necessary for my day-to-day teacher duties such as lesson planning and grading. My students are very excited to use new art supplies, modeling dough, science and math activities, and even a programmable robot. As a teacher, I am used to often spending a lot of my own money on classroom supplies, materials, and activities. It was a breath of fresh air to be able to receive from generous donors and shop for my classroom not out-of-pocket. I teach in a small district where almost 100% of students are on free and reduced lunch, where many students come to school without any supplies. As a first-year teacher, I myself was coming in with few supplies and materials. Even just my first shopping trip was a HUGE help!

Ms. DC was able to gather a generous amount of supplies for her classroom because of Crayons to Classrooms. Some of the items received for her classroom included: A large classroom picture, a silver farm-style star and artificial flowers utilized to make the classroom feel more like “home.” Additionally, Crayons to Classrooms allowed us to attain the many office & school supplies needed to create experiential lessons for optimal academic growth. Our students especially appreciated the added extras from Yoobi, as now they have their very own pencil boxes full of colored pencils, erasers, pencils, glue and scissors for any creative project they may be assigned. Crayons 2 Classrooms has helped my students get what they need. The average parent pays $50-$75.00 for school supplies and many of our families can't afford that. Having the available supplies to offset the cost for them is greatly appreciated.
My most memorable experience is when I had backpacks from Crayons that were filled with supplies and was able to give them to some of our homeless students. The reaction from the parents and students was overwhelming.

The folks who manage Crayons to Classrooms, make gathering supplies, books and other items accessible and plentiful for students in need. I work for a tiny one classroom per grade, Catholic School than is a 100% Free lunch School. Crayons to Classrooms helps our tiny school supply our scholars, Who are 100% below the poverty level, get the supplies they need to get a quality education with little sacrifice. There are few things sadder than seeing your scholars report to school with their books in Grocery bags. I have been to crayons to classrooms a couple times, and each time I am overwhelmed by the helpful tools and resources provided to area teachers for free! I love that they often give away large items as well- I have received a paper shredder, while other teachers I know have gotten filing cabinets, desk chairs, and other items many schools can't afford to upgrade! They are always so helpful and everything is laid out so nicely that shopping is a breeze!

This was my first visit to Crayons to Classrooms and it was amazing. The staff made me feel very welcomed and were super helpful. This made my experience a lot better. The supplies was amazing and I was able to get the supplies and quantity that I was allowed to have, I liked this organization. The shopping center itself was clean, neat, and well organized. Labels were made and they even had the quantity number for each supply. I cannot wait to be able to go back and experience this again.

Many families cannot provide their children with things as simple as paper, pencils, folders, crayons, etc. It is ludicrous, senseless, and laughable that in America in 2018 a student should have difficulty learning due to the lack of a .25$ pencil. So as teachers we frequently dig into our own wallets to provide much needed supplies and materials for our students.

Crayons to Classrooms is such a blessing to all of the schools that are involved. For me personally, it is like a kid going into a candy store and be told you can pick out whatever you want for free! As educators we spend so much of our own money to help our students get a great education. I teach for Dayton Public Schools, and I am an Intervention Specialist, and we do not get a budget each year to buy whatever we need like most of the other teachers. So, when I heard about Crayons to Classrooms I got very excited!! Most of our families do not have money for school supplies, so us kind hearted teachers end up using our own money. Sometimes I hear teachers say: "I don't have time to go to Crayons to Classrooms" and, I reply "I can't afford not to go there!" I have not had to buy any pencils in the last 8 years!!!" That is huge!!!! It is so much fun going to shop at Crayons to Classrooms where I can get supplies for my students for free! Several years ago I got a few chair pockets that fit over a student chair that they can put their supplies in since we do not have desks. They worked out so great that I decided to make a math lesson out of it, and the students have to measure the fabric and make their own. We use scrap cloth that I have gotten from Crayons to Classrooms and the McMurf Recycling Center, and the students sew their own chair pockets. They are able to use the chair pockets for the entire 4 years that they are with me. I just can't say enough good things about Crayons to Classrooms!

Crayons to classrooms has given me the opportunity to provide students with everyday tools and materials to help in the learning process. Yoobi allowed me to send home supplies such as crayons, rulers, and scissors, so that students could use these on their homework assignments. I went to Crayons to Classrooms for the first time this year. It was a wonderful experience, and the people staffing it were very helpful. Through people's generous donations, i was able to bring things back to my class that we began using right away. We sent thank you notes to four donors, and we truly thank those of you who donate your money and your time to make this experience possible. I teach in a school where all the students are one free lunch, and we are glad to receive donations of things to use with our students.

I have been shopping at Crayons to Classrooms for several years now. If it were not for this wonderful store, I would be purchasing supplies out of my own pocket. I teach 2nd grade in more then half of my class cannot afford to purchase supplies. So far this year I have purchased 200 pencils out of pocket for my students. I can't even get copy paper from my district, so I get my own class supplies from the store. I love this place! Keep up the great work, us teachers need you!

After over 20 years in the for-profit arena working in distribution and manufacturing, I had the opportunity to join Crayons to Classrooms in February 2016 as its Operations Manager.

Having never worked in the non-profit sector, I had no real idea what to expect, except the mission of the organization really piqued my interest. My experience has been wonderful, for two reasons.

First, the mission. To be able to use my experience and professional knowledge to help local teachers, and with that, have a positive impact on local students has been extremely rewarding. Knowing that what I do each day at Crayons to Classrooms helps enhance the lives of these people is exceedingly fulfilling.

Second, the staff. I have never worked with such a positive, encouraging, and helpful group. From the Executive Director, Steve Rubenstein, to the employees, to all the volunteers, it is great to come to work each day and be involved with such a tremendous crew.

I look forward to many more years with this organization and helping it to continue to grow and fulfill its mission.

I love Crayons to Classrooms. Twice a year, I am able to go and get a variety of great supplies that I otherwise would not be able to provide my students, from essential school materials to prizes to decorations. It is a wonderful community resource and I am so grateful to them for all they do for our schools.

I have always enjoyed shopping at Crayons to Classroom. The volunteers are always helpful and friendly. This saves tremendously on my pocket book and I am forever gratitude to those who help me supply my classroom.

When I first began teaching in Dayton, I was new to the area. I often drove to school through the area neighborhood and was shocked by the number of students walking the streets to and from school. I quickly began to recognize different school uniforms and being able to identify which school students were attending based on their uniform. The one thing I couldn't make sense of, was why so many students had the same backpack. I figured it must be some cultural trend I was unfamiliar with, but every day I noticed many students carrying the exact same pack. A few weeks later, I was fortunate to visit Crayons to Classrooms to get supplies for my classroom. While there I was given several backpacks that matched the ones I saw every day. It then dawned on me, all the children I see out on the streets, either walking home or catching public transit, aren't carrying the backpacks because they are part of trend. Instead, these are children, that without the services of Crayons to Classrooms would be walking without a backpack. It is very obvious to see the impact of this service, just driving through neighborhoods in our community. This organization makes a difference, not just in my building, but on the community as a whole.

I had a wonderful experience at Crayons to Classrooms! Last year was my first opportunity to shop, and I very much appreciated all the items that were available to me. So often school employees are using their own funds to purchase materials to use in the classroom. It was such a blessing to be able to go and get things at no cost to myself or my district. The people were so pleasant as well. The whole experience was amazing. Thanks to all of the volunteers/workers and donors!

Crayons to Classroom have been an exceptional resources for my classes. It provides students who come to school with no supplies or run out and parents may not be able to replace them in a timely fashion. They have a wonderful staff and always have items that we need and beyond for the classroom.

Crayon to Classrooms is by far the most wonderful resource that I have ever had access to in my 20+ years in education! The staff are very friendly and helpful. The resources that are available for my students were just amazing. It may sound simple , but my students are so happy to have notebooks, spiral paper, pencils, and other basic classroom supplies. To say I was excited is an understatement. Crayons to Classrooms had everything I needed for my students and classroom from supplies to incentives. I can't wait for my next trip. It's amazing what the donors and volunteers do for the area schools/children in need.

This organization is AMAZING. The volunteers are helpful, kind and polite. I can honestly say that without Crayons to Classrooms there would be schools and classrooms that go without, which in turn means our future will go without. This may seem small and pointless to some but the need for pencils, paper, folders, book bags is huge and is there all year long. The fact that we can visit a place be provided with sooo many options is a relief.

Thanks to the generous donations I receive from Crayons to Classrooms I can provide my students with the basics that they otherwise would not have. Simple things like pencils, hand sanitizer, paper, notebooks, binders and more are so very important. The staff is always friendly and helpful. They take a real interest in what's going on in the classroom and provide resources like readers for the classroom and STEM packs. Thank you for all you do. I certainly do appreciate and value you!.

I just love Crayons to Classrooms. This program has helped me provide much needed supplies to students in my classrooms. I have been able to bless students in need in more classrooms than just my own due to the wide array of supplies that I have been able to get through this program. I am always amazed at the materials that they are able to provide to area teachers. My cousin is jealous because there isn't a program like this in her area!

My first time at Crayons to Classrooms I was a first year teacher spending copious amounts of my own money to make sure my students had the basics (pencils, paper, etc.).Visiting Crayons to Classrooms was nothing short of magical. I left with these items, but also decorations, books, and art supplies for student projects. I have been going every semester since then and I cannot thank Crayons to Classrooms enough for the way they support my students!

I have been able to shop at Crayons to Classrooms for many years now. They have impacted the lives of many students in my classroom. It is amazing to know when a student does not have a supply they need I can just reach into the closet and pull one out. It also let teachers focus on buying other resources, since we are no longer buying the everyday supplies like pencils and paper. I can't say thank you enough.

My students come to school every year with zero supplies. All supplies come from the teachers themselves. Therefore, I wouldn't be able to afford to do my job without Crayons to Classrooms. Incredible! That's just one word that describes the service that Crayons to Classroom provides. The first time I was fortunate enough to visit I was amazed at the quality and quantity of items I received for my classroom and school. I kept thinking about the students who were going to benefit from these donations. I imagined the smiles that would overcome their faces when they got a new backpack, lunch box, or set of markers. This nonprofit organization provides much more than just school supplies. It provides hope, caring, gratitude, and tons of smiles to those who receive its services! Thank you, Crayons to Classrooms!

I have been to other organizations like this in the past, and this is by far the best one I have been to. Almost all of the supplies were new, very clearly labeled, and it's an easy system to figure out. As a teacher at a low-income district where all students receive free lunch, I am so grateful to be able to find free supplies for my students. They don't just have basic supplies like pencils and paper; they have binders, bookbags, resources for teachers, and so much more. I was super impressed and will definitely continue to go once a semester!

I was amazed at the generosity of this organization. My shopping experience was efficient and well organized. The organization has this system down pat. My students were so excited about the new supplies. My lessons are much more engaging with the proper tools. Thank you so much!

Today I wrote a $7.00 ck for each one of my self-contained special ed students to go to a field trip to young's dairy for a hayride and a pumpkin. I have 16 students so that came to well over 100 dollars. Luckily I have had the opportunity to go to crayons to classrooms since the first day it opened. They have generously provided for my students who are very much in need.
Steve is always there with a smile and kind attitude and yesterday was no different.

Absolutely Amazing! Received so much more than I ever imagined! So thankful, and so are my students!!!

I recently visited Crayons to Classroom for the first time and I was very impressed. I am a first grade, first year teacher. This organization is such a blessing! I was able to get so many supplies, craft items, and prizes for my students. As teachers we spend so much of our own money on our classrooms and to have help is so amazing! Thank you Crayons to Classroom and everyone involved who makes this place possible!

I have had the opportunity to be a Board member of Dayton Crayons to Classrooms and be a part of the initial planning committee to form the organization. The Board and staff are committed to the organization's Mission. Staff and Board members do not hesitate to step up and support Crayons to Classrooms. Crayons to Classrooms moved to a more modern facility, and I was fortunate enough to visit the first day they reopened. The set-up is wonderful, the staff is delightful, and the available materials are much appreciated.

I volunteer for Crayons to Classrooms and the commitment on their part is intense and therefore it inspires us as volunteers to give our best. The jobs that we do as volunteers helps keep things ready for the teacher with few resources and they are so grateful. It is great to see it grow each year and be able to know students are benefiting from these supplies. A very worthy organization.
