Wellspring Community

Programs: Wellspring community's work & enrichment program provides adults with developmental disabilities the opportunity to learn life and vocational skills, develop their talents and abilities to their fullest potential, and enjoy a sense of pride in their accomplishments. Our participants are offered a variety of education and enrichment classes; including fitness, self-defense, math skills, social skills, dance and much more.

in our best buddies bakery, participants learn kitchen safety and all aspects of baking, packaging, and marketing. Our bakery produces a wide variety of made-from-scratch baked goods as well as all natural dog biscuits. Our products sell at local retail outlets.

our wellspring wonders choir performs throughout the denver metro area in local churches and other local venues. Since music is the universal language and is a source of joy for so many, we offer our participants the opportunity to make music together. Under the direction of an experienced vocal coach and piano accompanist our wellspring wonders choir members learn voice, breathing and rhythm exercises and enjoy the thrill of making music together.

club 21: a social and recreation program, club 21 offers adults with special needs a weekend evening out with peers where they can enjoy game nights, hobby nights, dances and much more in a safe, supervised and structured setting. In wellspring's horticulture program, master gardeners train adults with special needs in planting and harvesting a variety of vegetables, herbs and sunflowers in a community garden. Participants learn how to prepare the soil, set up irrigation systems, fertilize, weed, prune and harvest. In our wellspring workshop, participants learn woodworking and ceramics, producing crafts which are sold in local markets.
