Programs: In 2014, water is life international continued work in three regions of southern ethiopia: borena, dale and west arsi. We complete 12 wells that serve approximately 6,000 people. A water use committee (wuc) was established with each well. The wubv was elected from the community and trained in how to manage resources in order to maintain the water pump. Each community was trained to improve practices in sanitation and hygiene. The sustainable living groups were expanded to include cluster level associations. There are now 9,593 members in 517 groups. This represents approximately 58,000 direct beneficiaries of training, savings and income generation activities.
