Mission: The washington state hospital association advocates on behalf of and supports its members in achieving their missions and improving the health of their communities.
Programs: The association coordinates and provides technical assistance to hospitals participating in regional public health emergency preparedness and response activities. The association's responsibilities include reviewing funding requests, purchasing equipment, scheduling training, and invoicing the department of health (doh) for related costs.
the centers for medicaid & medicare services (cms) identified thewashington state hospital association hospital engagement network(wsha) as a participant in the leading edge advanced practice topics,or leapt program. Wsha is one of just six hospital engagement networksin the nation selected by cms for the program. Leapt was created by cmsto expand and spread knowledge in several important areas of patientharm. The leapt program began september 26, 2013 and ended on december 8, 2014. This year-long project will provide intensive focus on areas important to our clinicians and patients.
