Mission: Originally created in 1987, the VPP became a 501c(3) non-profit organization in May 2000. We do not charge for any of our visits. We are an all-volunteer organization; we have no paid employees. All volunteer pet/handler members pay $25.00 dues annually. Our program includes over 160 volunteer handlers who visit more than 35 area nursing homes, hospitals, rehabilitation facilities and special facilities for children. Animals are temperament tested and given an annual health check.
