Mission: Compelled by the love of christ, vincentian de marillac nurtures and sustains a ministry of compassionate care that preserves the human dignity of persons within a diverse and changing society. Vincentian de marillac was founded in 1943 and is nestled on 15 acres in stanton heights. With only 50 beds, this senior care community provides a lovely rural and intimate setting within the city. Vincentian de marillac is a member of vincentian collaborative system, a catholic health and human services organization headquartered in the north hills of pittsburgh. In the catholic tradition and following in the footsteps of st. Vincent de paul and st. Louise de marillac, vincentian de marillac provides quality programs and services that are compassionate, comprehensive, affordable, dignified and strongly spiritual in nature. Vincentian is sponsored by the sisters of charity of nazareth, with whom the vincentian sisters of charity merged in 2008.
Programs: Vincentian de marillac provided skilled, intermediate and rehabilitation nursing care for over 172 seniors. A full range of health services and therapies are provided as well as family support services, pastoral care, activities and a small beauty/barber shop. In keeping with our charitable purpose, vincentian de marillac serves persons of all religious backgrounds and income levels (73. 35% of residents receive medicaid). More than $758,000 of benevolent care was provided in fy 2017.
