Mission: Ventura charter school of arts and global education (vcsage) is a not-for-profit public charter school approved by the ventura county office of education which started operations in september 2006. As a progressive school, we educate the "whole child" by addressing the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical needs of k-8 students. We enable students to flourish through the use of innovative curriculum and instruction that empowers them to reach their innate intellectual, creative, and leadership potentials.
Programs: Ventura charter school is a public school with grades from kindergarten to eighth grade. The school served on average 375 students based on ada. Our program exapnds educational choices for students and parents in the public school system, supports a nurturing community of learning, and improves student achievement. The school prepares its students to be global citizens of the 21st century by providing a rigorous and relevant curriculum for today's dynamic world. Our students understand that life is a diverse global community. We cultivate in each child a love for autonomous, cooperative, respectful, and productive life learners. The school provides a progressive constructivist learning environment where needs of the whole child are met.
