Greyfoot Cat Rescue is the best cat rescue and adoption organization that I've ever come across. Because the cats are all fostered, their personalities and needs can be described to potential adopters so that a good match is made for the cat(s) and the adoptive families. Greyfoot is dedicated to providing rescue cats and kittens with good, safe lifelong homes.

I adopted sweet, beautiful Marilyn from Greyfoot Cat Rescue. I couldn't be happier with her & the assistance we received from Greyfoot during the adoption process. Greyfoot Cat Rescue is a wonderful place, providing temporary & permanent homes for kittens and adult cats of all ages & health status. Thank You, Greyfoot for all that you do.

Greyfoot is an awesome cat rescue. There number one priority is to get the cats into the right forever home.
The volunteers really care about the cats and most of them care for them in their own homes.
We adopted the best cat ever from them last April. He is the sweetest, furriest most handsome gentle giant.
We are grateful to all those who volunteer for this wonderful organization.

Our volunteers have been rescuing cats and kittens over the past 16 years of operation. Greyfoot has adopted out and rehabilitated over 5000 homeless cats over these years. Yes we do have strict policies when we perform our adoptions. Indoor policy for safety, also perform safety checks on the potential adoptive homes pointing out hazards for the cats. Seeking life-long homes only. Also in our adoption agreement if for any reason the adopter can no longer care for the cat, the cat comes back to Greyfoot, not a kill shelter. We also have a sanctuary which houses 47 cats. Many are feral, blind, handicapped, and have health reasons, thus un-adoptable. Greyfoot is a publicly supported non-profit. All donated money goes directly for the care and support of our rescued cats & kittens.

They only do indoor only cat adoptions, but they don't tell you that until you fill out a application. They are not that open to telling this policy directly, mostly likely because they do showing of the cats at petsmart which happens to sell cat doors?

My first real experience with Greyfoot occurred when I was looking for a companion for my older cat. We ended up going to PetSmart to look at the cats. Since I have an older cat with a health condition, I knew I wanted to choose carefull to adopt a cat suitable for him. It was helpful to talk to the volunteers. They knew something about several of the cats I was interested in. Ultimately, we chose two cats to adopt and they made a great match for my male cat. After that, I began making some donations and gradually, I have started to become more involved. In the past few months, I have met many of the other volunteers and have found that they are a dedicated, nice group of people. Cat socializing has been rewarding for me and I plan to continue to assist the organization.

I have been volunteering with Greyfoot Cat Rescue for over a year now. I mainly help clean and help with the adoptions held at PetSmart in Ventura on the weekends. It is a wonderful organization to be a part of. They have the best way of making sure the cats and kittens that are adopted out go to truly loving homes. The cats that can't be adopted out have a beautiful safe place to live at the santuary. What a lot of people don't know is that Greyfoot also has a Cat Hotel at their santuary. What better place to leave your kitty then one that dedicates their lives to taking care of cats.

Greyfoot Cat Rescue is an AWESOME local nonprofit organization in Ventura, CA that is here to help as many precious kittens and cats it can. All involved are true cat lovers and will do what it takes to help all their kittens/cats to get adopted into loving forever homes. They pull cats off death row, take in abandoned cats, help people that can not longer care for their cat, etc. Along with the sancutary there are a number of foster parents, socializers, and other volunteers that prepare all these precious babies for their new homes. I feel honored to help socialize as many kittens/cats that are at the adoption center in Petsmart.

I've worked for Greyfoot for many years and it's a very rewarding place to be a part of. All the cats there are treated with the best care and are only given to the bests homes possible. It's certainly a worthwhile organization and a lovely home for cats!

I have adopted 3 cats from Greyfoot and this organization is the best! They really are there for the cats - that is their number one priority. They are willing to take in cats/kittens who may not be the most adoptable and provide them with a loving and safe home.

Greyfoot is a wonderful organization. I've spent time at their adoption events and have seen how dedicated the volunteers are. They take excellent care of the cats they rescue and they have an adoption process in place that ensures the cats and kittens are adopted into loving, responsible households.
Greyfoot Cat Rescue consistently makes a substantial effort toward relieving the problem of homeless cats and kittens.

Greyfoot Cat Rescue & Sanctuary rescues homeless cats and kittens. Our sources are from the street, backyard strays, animal services and abandoned cats. This organization truly cares about each rescue that is lucky enough to come through our doors. We have forty volunteers that medicate, groom, clean and give tender loving care for these cats. When ready they are shown for adoption at PETsMART Charities Adoption Center in Ventura and our Sanctuary in Oak View, for the shy ones. I have been involved with Greyfoot since 1998, we have rescued, rehabilitated and neutered over 6000 cats and kittens. We do require an application and home safety visit to ensure our cats go to loving, life-ling homes. We are a No-Kill organization. We work for them with no political agendas.

Greyfoot focuses on saving and then adopting out cats. What many don't know is that they also have dog rescue and bunny rescue programs. I've been volunteering for the dog rescue part and I've been impressed with both the dedication and intelligence these people have that are running these programs. It's rewarding to be surrounded not only by the animals that we are trying to find homes for, but the people too! They are incredible. Greyfoot's adoption applications are thorough and the adoption process is quickly, yet smoothly, run. People who have adopted from this organization actually visit with us, often ending up huggy and thanking us for their wonderful companion(s). I feel very proud for having the opportunity to volunteer for them.
