Causes: Arts & Culture, Performing Arts
Mission: Vyt is organized for the purpose of (1) acquiring, maintaining and operating, on a non-profit basis, a youth theatre for the production and presentation of plays and other theatrical performances, together with all activities incident thereto; and (continued on schedule o)(2) providing, for school-aged youth, a creative, artistic, and educational experience by giving them an opportunity to participate in all phases of theatrical productions and by giving them an opportunity to see dramatic presentations.
Programs: The 2016-2017 season included 6 main stage productions, grease, charlotte's web, a winnie the pooh christmas tail, alice in wonderland, the secret garden, and the wizard of oz. Valley youth theater reached over 19,000 children with books and live performances of these stories through our literacy and the arts program, educational programs and production performances. Vyt reached over 1,462 children through our sponsor a seat program.
