Causes: Crime & Law, Dispute Resolution & Mediation
Mission: Dedicated to providing mediation services and training on conflict resolution to residents in utah. Udr uses trained, qualified volunteer mediators to provide services.
Programs: Family mediation programudr managed 735 cases involving domestic disputes in fy2018/ty2017. Of these cases, 387 resulted in convened mediations. A total of 190, or 49%, of these mediations resulted in full agreement. 85 cases, or 22%, resulted in partial agreement, and 112, or 29%, were not resolved. 29 cases were dropped before the scheduled time.
training programudr trained 144 adults in conflict resolution and mediation skills through 21 public and private seminars.
youth programyouth mediators conducted 23 mediations and conflict resolutions between students in conflict. Of these mediations and interventions, 21, or 91%, resulted in full agreement. 2 cases, or 9%, were not resolved. 115 conflict coaching adn circle process sessions were held. Udr provided 129 classes to 1,218 youths covering mediations, conflict coaching and circle processes.
