Causes: Sports, Swimming & Other Water Recreation
Mission: Usa swimming is the national governing body for the sport of swimming. We administer competitive swimming in accordance with the amateur sports act. See schedule o for continuation
Programs: National team: in 2014, usa swimming sent a large team to the pan pacific championships in the gold coast, australia, bringing home 43 medals. In addition a junior team was sent to the 2014 junior pan pacific championships in maui, hawaii, winning the overall medal count.
events & promotion: in and out of the pool, usa swimming had a strong year in 2014. Usa swimming continued its 'swimtoday' campaign with 10 industry partners collaborating on the #funnestsport campaign. Swimtoday is a national campaign to drive traffic to the swimtoday. member services: members are served by headquarters staff who respond to numerous emails and phone calls concerning membership questions; parents needing to confirm their children are members, coaches who have questions about their membership requirements, officials who have questions about the online testing program, as well as lsc registrars and officials chairs who need assistance.
