Nonprofit Overview
Mission: Through a memorandum of understanding with the university of washington and university advancement, signed june 21, 2010, and in liaison with the uw retiree relations office, the university of washington retirement association informs, connects and advocates for uw retirees and pre-retirees. The uwra encourages continued engagement with the uw and fosters a purposeful retirement through educational and social programs. Restated mission statement adopted by the uwra board of directors may 13, 2015. _form 990-ez, part ivthe uwra executive director is compensated directly by the university of washington rather than by uwra.
Programs: Lectures, workshops, no-host luncheons on current academic, civic and cultural topics and retirement transitions and opportunities.
