I was a Pediatric nurse a Loma Linda Children's Hospital. Several years ago I was caring for a young child who was dying. The heartbreak for this family was unbearable. But on top of that they were trying to figure out how they would pay for a funeral for their precious boy. No parents should ever have to suffer this nightmare of losing a child, let alone be concerned about a burial for this child. As his nurse this broke my heart. A few years later, our hospital chaplin Tim Evans, who had witnesses this same tragedy many times, came up with the idea of the Unforgettables. This organization helps many parents each year with financial support to do the unthinkable, bury their precious child. Their motto is each child is always unforgettable. I have witnessed, first hand, their amazing assistance. This organization is the real deal.
