They are a wonderful resource for this community. They are willing and able to help men women and children have a wonderful opportunity at a new and productive life. They have served this area for many years, they are well regarded and there’s a high level of confidence for the management and staff. An invaluable service that communities in Southern California are in desperate need of. Thank you for your work Steps4Life!
Steps 4 Life is a much needed resource for people struggling with addiction. Their program helps men and women rebuild their lives. Recovery from addiction is much more than being sober. Learning life skills, contributing to a community, a second chance are some of the possibilities available to people in their program.
This program saved my life! I was a client in this program, when I entered I had suffered great losses, horriffic trauma, and was battling a terrible addiction. Not only did this program never give up on me, but they pushed me to become a better version of myself. This program provided a sense of family to me when I had no one. This program provided me a home when I did not have one. This program has seen me through ups and downs, and remained to constant in my life. Since graduating this program I have graduated college, began working in the field, and have over two years clean from all substances. Steps 4 life helped save my life, and for that I am eternally grateful.
Being a part of Steps for Life, has without a doubt changed my life throughout my process of recovery.
I just celebrated 18 years of Sobriety.
Respectfully,
Jan B.
I read about Steps 4 Life in 2017 in a local newspaper. The paper discussed how the program was working alongside the Redlands Police Department to help place the homeless in transitional housing. I invited Cynthia McGuigan, the director, to speak to a church committee that I co-chaired. Her personal story was riveting. The history of Steps 4 Life was inspiring. Cynthia and her clients have been such a positive influence on the community of Redlands. Not only have the clients become productive members of society, but they volunteer for city events, art fairs, and a community garden. I have since joined the board and feel so proud to be a part of this organization.
It was only about three years ago that I became aware of Cynthia McGuigan and steps for life. Before that, I had no idea that there were six homes in Redlands that were changing people’s lives in remarkable ways. Since then, I have visited all the homes with Cindy and met many of the amazing folks and heard their stories. I remember spending some time with an incredible man who was growing flowers, tending them in their containers all over a backyard deck. He loved those flowers! And they clearly loved him. The gentleness and compassion in him shone like the sun. That’s what Steps4Life brought out from him, his deepest best self!
Steps 4 Life has transformed so many lives in our community for the better. Individuals who once were hopeless have found purpose and are now positively contributing to society. I am proud to assist this nonprofit in their mission to rehabilitate those in need.
Steps 4 Life helped me get my son back.and bettered our relationship. We are on much better path now and thriving thanks to all that I've learned through this program.

I was desperate and hopeless. I was introduced to a lady named Cynthia M. She took me to her program and showed me my room. I was greeted with much love and for the first time felt safe. It has been eight years later and I am still actively involved with the program. Steps 4 life gave me my life back.
