Something for everyone here! Beautiful grounds and building. Great place to get a feel for what San Bernardino County was and is. Fun interactive hands-on area for kids to experience orange picking and packing. Great rocks, baskets, cars, trains, special exhibit right now on superheroes and monsters! Plan on enough time to soak it all in.

I remember when the SBCM was built. Everyone was excited. I took my kids as soon as it opened. Once my kids were all grown and had moved, I revisited the museum often. Eventually I became a docent/ volunteer. I have been there for about 13 years. I have seen sooooo many changes , and all for the better. We are more modern and have such fresh ideas coming in from the curators. The look has changed dramatically and the additions of the new exhibits are great. I am glad to be a part of all this.

I have always loved visiting the San Bernardino County Museum. I started visiting in the 1960's as a child with my parents. On this occasion, I visited with my husband's family from Georgia but originally from San Bernardino, as well. Everyone really enjoyed their visit and learned something new about our County. We all appreciated how many updates have been made to the exhibits and how informative they were.

I am a volunteer docent at the SB County Museum. One of the reasons I find this so fulfilling is the look of joy and wonder on kids' faces when they are at the museum. The Museum has made great strides in the past three years in refreshing displays, creating and bringing in new exhibits, and revamping and expanding programs. All of that makes my job as a docent much more involving and exciting. Once we can welcome school groups to the Museum again, we can spread that joy and wonder even wider!

Throughout the volunteer orientation, Ashley Lothyan was very informative and helpful. I was also able to visit the museum and every employee I encountered was friendly and willing to answer any questions I had. The museum offered so much more than I was expecting too. It’s wonderful!
