Mission: Our mission is to pull together and push with the people. When we begin working with a Kenyan community; we begin with the people. We meet the leaders of the community and the different groups already formed by the community. We look to them as teachers and we ask them to tell us about the problems in the community. We identify a problem that is consistent with our goal of spreading educational opportunities. Then we ask the community how can we solve this problem. We work together. We don't provide aid or give free handouts. When we come across a car that is stuck in the mud. We first look to see if the whole community is there trying to push it free. If the whole community is behind this car pushing with all its might but the car refuses to budge then Ugali pushes with the community until together we are covered in mud from the spinning tires and we are smiling big African smiles as we watch the car putter up the road.
