Programs: Leadership development programs: the organization trains rising policy experts each year as truman fellows. The organizaion trains rising leaders who are activists, elected officials, and communications consultants through our partners program. The organization trains military veterans as part of our veteran's leadership academy. With all three groups, the organization teaches them about security policy through educational activities and scenarios, trains them in communication and messaging, helps them learn about the military through military 101 trainings, and offers them practical skill building to assist in their professional development.
advocacy: tnsp engages in advocacy activities such as public education, town hall meetings, speaking events, media and paid advertising as well as in occasional lobbying activities to affect policies seen as essential to our country's national security. These advocacy activities are nonpartisan, and take place across the united states. national security education (training): tnsp offers day long "bootcamps" for other organizations on issues of national security interest, such as miliary 101 training for civilian leaders to understand the military. The organization engages in writing and media appearances in national and state publications, radio, and television on a variety of national security and foreign policy topics.
